Some excerpts of the speech President Bush gave at City Center Park in Chanhassen on October 9, 2004.

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you all. It turns out I am the first sitting President ever to visit Chanhassen, Minnesota. All the other ones missed out on a beautiful part of America.  Thank you for coming out today. I'm here asking for the vote. And I'm here to ask for your help in getting that vote out. There is no doubt in my mind, with your help, we will carry Minnesota and win a great victory in November.

 

 

"Nearly Two Million" New Bush-Cheney '04 TV Ad

Bush-Cheney '04 Launches New Television Advertisement, "Nearly Two Million"

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest television advertisement, "Nearly Two Million."  Thanks to the President's pro-growth policies, our economy has gained nearly two million new jobs in just over a year.  The ad will run on national cable.

Voice Over:
There are many reasons to be hopeful about America’s future. Nearly two million new jobs in just over a year. Nearly two million more people back working. Nearly two million more people with wages. Nearly two million more people with more security. Nearly two million more people able to provide for their families. Nearly two million more reasons why Americans are optimistic about our future.

"Tort Reform" New Bush-Cheney '04 TV Ad

Bush-Cheney '04 Launches New Television Advertisement, "Tort Reform"

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest television advertisement, "Tort Reform."  The ad highlights John Kerry and the liberals in Congress' responsibility for the crisis in women's access to healthcare.  Kerry and the liberals have sided with the trial lawyers in opposing legal reform to stop the frivolous lawsuits that are forcing maternity wards to close and OB-GYNs to be forced out.  The ad will run on national cable and in select local markets. 

The ad features Dr. Patricia Stephenson, a physician who practices in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Script For "Tort Reform"

Dr. Patricia Stephenson:
There is a crisis in healthcare.  There's a crisis in women's access to healthcare in this country.

Voice Over:
Maternity wards closing. OB-GYNs being forced out. The reason: Frivolous lawsuits. John Kerry and the liberals in Congress side with the trial lawyers. They opposed legal reform 10 times.

Dr. Patricia Stephenson:

Bush-Cheney '04 Launches New Television Advertisement, "Med Mal"

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest television advertisement, "Med Mal."  The ad highlights John Kerry and the liberals in Congress' responsibility for the women's health emergency that is causing hospitals to close maternity wards and OB-GYNs to be forced out.  John Kerry and the liberals in Congress have stood with the personal injury trial lawyers responsible for the frivolous lawsuits that are forcing out good doctors, voting ten times against medical lawsuit reform.  The ad will run on national cable and in select local markets.  A state-specific version will run in Pennsylvania.

The reason: frivolous lawsuits from out-of-control personal injury trial lawyers. And John Kerry and the liberals in Congress … stand with those trial lawyers. They've voted to block medical lawsuit reform 10 times. And that's why our good doctors are leaving.

Bush-Cheney '04 Launches New Television Advertisement, "Clockwork"

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest television advertisement, "Clockwork."  The ad notes that John Kerry and the liberals in Congress have voted for higher taxes an average of once every three weeks for 20 years.  Kerry and the liberals have voted to raise taxes on gasoline, Social Security benefits and middle class parents.  The ad will run on national cable and in select local markets. 

Script For "Clockwork"

Voiceover:

They voted to raise our gas taxes 10 times. And raise taxes on Social Security benefits. Higher taxes on middle class parents 18 times. John Kerry and the liberals in Congress' record on the economy:
Higher taxes 350 times… An average of once every three weeks for 20 years … like clockwork.

Bush-Cheney '04 Launches New Television Advertisement, "Thinking Mom"

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest television advertisement, "Thinking Mom."  The ad highlights John Kerry and the liberals in Congress' 350 votes for higher taxes.  Kerry and the liberals have voted for higher taxes on gasoline, Social Security benefits, middle class parents and married couples.  The ad will run on national cable and in select local markets.

Mom Voiceover:

5:30, I need to get groceries…. I'm gonna be late.

Radio Voiceover:

John Kerry and the liberals in Congress have voted to raise gas taxes 10 times.

Mom Voiceover:

10 times… gas prices are high enough already.

Radio Voiceover:

They voted to raise taxes on senior social security benefits and raise taxes on middle class parents 18 times… No relief there from the marriage penalty…

Mom Voiceover:

More taxes because I'm married… what were they thinking?

"Global Test" New Bush-Cheney '04 TV Ad

Bush-Cheney '04 Launches New Television Advertisement, "Global Test."

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest television advertisement, "Global Test."  The ad contrasts the Kerry doctrine that America must pass a 'global test' before defending itself with President Bush's belief that decisions about defending America should be made in the Oval Office, not in foreign capitals.  "Global Test" will rotate in on national cable and in select local markets Monday.

Voice Over:

He said he'd attack terrorists who threaten America, But at the debate, John Kerry said America must pass a "global test" before we protect ourselves. The Kerry doctrine:  A global test. So we must seek permission from foreign governments before protecting America? A global test? So America will be forced to wait while threats gather? President Bush believes decisions about protecting America should be made in the Oval Office, not foreign capitals.

"Searching" New Bush-Cheney '04 TV Ad

Bush-Cheney '04 Launches New Television Advertisement, "Searching"

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest television advertisement, "Searching."  The ad contrasts John Kerry's numerous different positions on the War on Terror and asks how he can protect us when he does not even know where he stands.  The ad will rotate in on national cable and in select local markets this afternoon.

"It was the right decision to disarm Saddam Hussein, and when the President made the decision I supported him."

"I don't believe the President took us to war as he should have."

"I actually did vote for the 87 billion dollars before I voted against it."

Jenna and Barbara Bush in St. Paul

Jenna and Barbara Bush campaigned at a W Stands for Women Brunch and Students for Bush Rally. The President's daughters began the day at a W Stands for Women Brunch at the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce. Later they spoke at a Students for Bush Rally and made phone calls thanking the volunteers at the Bush Cheney '04 Minnesota Headquarters.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the campaign's newest television advertisement, "Windsurfing."  The ad highlights John Kerry's tendency to go whichever way the wind blows on the most important issues facing our nation, including the War on Terror, education reform and health care.  The ad will rotate in on national cable and in select local markets.

He claims he’s against increasing Medicare premiums, but voted five times to do so. John Kerry. Whichever way the wind blows.
