LIEBERMAN CAMPAIGN UNVEILS NEW N.H. AD FEATURING MCCAIN SUPPORTERS
ARLINGTON, VA Joe Lieberman's campaign today unveiled a new television ad airing in New Hampshire, featuring former supporters of John McCain talking about why they're now supporting Lieberman.
The ad features seven of the more than 40 former New Hampshire supporters of McCain's who have endorsed Lieberman. One of those featured in the ad, Bob Stone of Charlestown, is one of the 11 former McCain town chairs who are backing Joe.
The community leaders, who recently formed a New Hampshire steering committee called McCain Supporters for Joe Lieberman, speak in the ad about how both Lieberman and McCain are straight talkers, get past the party ideology and are leaders they can trust and believe in.
The ad will begin airing in New Hampshire today and may also be viewed by visiting joe2004.
Lieberman's campaign is also distributing a letter signed by several McCain town chairs this week to 25,000 New Hampshire households. The letter, which is being targeted to voters that supported McCain in 2000, explains why they're supporting Lieberman.
