Romney For President Launches New Radio Ad, "New Leadership"

Romney For President Launches New Radio Ad, "New Leadership"

Boston, MA – Today, Romney for President launched its newest radio ad, "New Leadership." The ad highlights Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) discussing his belief that Governor Mitt Romney has the experience needed to lead America today. Governor Romney has led and turned around businesses, the 2002 Winter Olympics and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. As President, he will do the same for our government with the help of leaders like Senator Gregg.

The ad will begin airing as part of the campaign's rotation today in New Hampshire.

Script For "New Leadership" (Radio:60):

SENATOR JUDD GREGG: "As I travel around the state, it is obvious that New Hampshire and America are hungry for a new kind of leadership.

"Hi, this is Judd Gregg and I'm strongly supporting Mitt Romney for President.

"Listening to Mitt speak to the people of New Hampshire, I've been impressed.

"Two things stand out: He's not from Washington, and Mitt Romney has accomplished so much. And he stands for even more.

"Mitt has successfully led. He built small and large businesses. His leadership saved the Olympics, and as governor of Massachusetts, Mitt turned that state around.

"Mitt understands the big problems confronting us: the threat of Islamic fundamentalism and ensuring that the Baby Boom generation can retire without bankrupting our children's future.

"As President, Mitt will bring that 'can-do, get-it-done, let's-solve-the-problem' optimism America needs today.

"Mitt Romney embodies New Hampshire's values-the values you and I want in a leader.

"For a strong America, I hope you'll join me in supporting Mitt Romney for President. He's the right choice for us."

GOVERNOR MITT ROMNEY: "I'm Mitt Romney and I approve this message."

ANNOUNCER: "Paid for by Romney for President. MittRomney.com."

John McCain 2008 Launches Radio Ad In New Hampshire

JOHN MCCAIN 2008 LAUNCHES NEW RADIO AD IN NEW HAMPSHIRE

ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced a new radio ad to run statewide in New Hampshire. The new ad highlights John McCain's leadership in working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect our national security through decreasing America's dependence on foreign oil. The 60-second ad is entitled "I Listened."

Script for "I Listened" (:60-Radio)

John McCain: "Eight years ago, I hadn't thought much about climate change. But the people of New Hampshire had."

Announcer: "John McCain talks about climate change."

John McCain: "And in every town hall I heard from you that climate change was real and was a serious threat to our environment and national security.

"I think the time is past when we argue about whether climate change is real or not. We have an obligation to future generations to take action and fix it.

"Not everyone heard you, but I did.

"And since then I've worked hard to find free market solutions to the problem because I know like you know: there's no problem too tough for the American people to tackle.

"One of those solutions is to reduce our dependence on foreign oil because it's not just a greenhouse gas issue; it's a national security issue.

"You were right New Hampshire, and I'm glad I listened to you.

"And I'm still listening.

John McCain: "I'm John McCain and I approved this message."

Announcer: "Paid for by John McCain 2008. John McCain.com"

Former Governor Jim Edgar Endorses Giuliani For President

Former Governor Jim Edgar Endorses Giuliani for President

Lisle, IL – The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee today announced the endorsement of former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar.  Edgar served two terms as Governor of Illinois.

“I believe Mayor Giuliani is the best candidate to help the Republican Party win the White House in 2008.  The reasons are clear that Rudy is a leader with a proven track record and offers successful executive experience.  As Mayor, he cleaned up New York and his record as a fiscal conservative and crime fighter make him our best candidate to win the general election,” said Governor Edgar. “I am proud to offer my endorsement for President to Mayor Rudy Giuliani.”

“As the Illinois primary gets closer, Republicans in the state continue to join Rudy’s team.  We have a strong network in the state, which will only grow stronger with the addition of Governor Edgar,” said Giuliani State Chairman Tom Cross.

Governor Edgar joins several respected Illinois Republican leaders who have endorsed Mayor Giuliani including former Governor Jim Thompson, former Attorney General Jim Ryan, and U.S. Congresswoman Judy Biggert.

Statement From Hillary Clinton On The Commission Of Presidential Debates

Statement from Hillary Clinton on the Commission of Presidential Debates

“While the locations it selected are worthy ones, I believe the Commission on Presidential Debates missed a golden opportunity to show New Orleans that the entire country is committed to its recovery, by passing it up as a site for a debate. Hosting a debate in New Orleans would spotlight the city to the rest of world and push to ensure that its rebuilding is not ignored.

“Getting New Orleans back on its feet must be a national priority, as rebuilding New York after 9/11 was. We must get to work on a plan to cut through the red tape, deliver the federal assistance the city was promised, and get services running and infrastructure built in New Orleans and across the Gulf Coast.

“Choosing New Orleans as the site of one of our nation’s great democratic events would have been a chance to reaffirm this priority, and I’m sorry the commission decided differently.”

Obama Campaign Launches First South Carolina Television Ad, "Hope & Change"

Obama Campaign Launches First South Carolina Television Ad

COLUMBIA, SC - U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's South Carolina campaign will launch its first television ad tomorrow on stations across the state.

Obama narrates "Hope & Change," a 30-second ad that highlights the Senator's service as a community organizer and civil rights attorney and describes what he thinks it will take to fundamentally change Washington politics.

Please find the script below.

"Hope & Change"

30 seconds

Barack Obama: I'm Barack Obama and I approve this message.

Obama: You know, hope and change haven't just been campaign slogans for me...they've been the causes of my life.

From the time that I moved to Chicago to be a community organizer.

Working as a civil rights attorney to make sure that everybody's vote counted.

In each instance, there were nay sayers who said it couldn't be done, but when millions of voices join together and insist on change, change happens and that's what we have to do in this election.

Tim Shriver Endorses Chris Dodd for President

TIM SHRIVER ENDORSES CHRIS DODD FOR PRESIDENT

Citing his deep commitment to children's issues, his international experience beginning with his time in the Peace Corps and his bold energy plan, calling for a Corporate Carbon Tax, Tim Shriver, chairman of the Special Olympics endorsed Chris Dodd for President.

"I've known Chris Dodd for almost my entire life," Shriver explained.  "We are both proud to come from families of public servants, but no one brings a deeper, more abiding commitment to serving his country than he does.  Whether it was his years in the Peace Corps as a young man, his quarter-century in the Senate creating opportunity for families from New Haven to Nicaragua, or his ambitious new proposal to renew the call to service for every American, Chris is never focused on legacy and always focused on possibilities infused with trust and hope - always reaffirming a sense of what is possible for America with the right leadership.

"While Chris Dodd has touched the lives of families in countless ways, he is known as "The Children's Senator" for a reason.  From his leadership strengthening Head Start to countless other early childhood development efforts he authored, no one has done more to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and healthy environment.  Indeed, his leadership in the area of education alone would make him a worthy candidate for President in any election.   But at a moment in our history filled with so much division, conflict and tension, it is his experience and unique talent for bringing people together to tackle big challenges that sets Chris apart in this race.  Chris Dodd doesn't just champion causes - he transforms them.

"I am thrilled to endorse Chris Dodd for President."

"With the stakes so high for our country, at home and abroad, it is deeply gratifying to have the support of someone like Tim, who has dedicated his life to giving back to his country.  He has been an ambassador for our most treasured American values abroad, building bridges of trust in war-torn countries and for those in need.  And his commitment as an educator is inspiring, from his work preventing substance abuse and violence to his efforts giving policymakers a deeper understanding of the social and emotional factors that contribute to a child's development," Dodd said.

"We all know that service is in Tim's blood, with the Shrivers' integral role in creating the Peace Corps, the Special Olympics and so many other historic efforts that have contributed to our nation's underlying optimism and confidence.  But if you know Tim as I have, you know his singular passion for promoting inclusion, acceptance and justice around the world comes from the heart.

"It is an honor and a privilege to have Tim Shriver's support in this race."

Shriver is the son of Sargent Shriver, the first Director of the Peace Corps, and Eunice Mary Kennedy Shriver, who founded the Special Olympics, which Tim has chaired for the past 11 years.  Tim Shriver joins his brother, Bobby, and their cousins Congressman Patrick Kennedy and Ted Kennedy, Jr. in endorsing Sen. Dodd's candidacy.
