Former New Hampshire Republican Chair Endorses Giuliani

Former New Hampshire Republican Chair Endorses Giuliani
Rhona Charbonneau Joins Growing New Hampshire Team

Manchester, NH – The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee today announced that Rhona Charbonneau, former Chair of the New Hampshire Republican State Committee, has endorsed Mayor Rudy Giuliani for President. Charbonneau also represented Hudson and surrounding communities as a member of the New Hampshire Senate and House of Representatives.

“Rudy will be a great leader for our country and the Republican Party,” said Charbonneau. “He is the only candidate in the race who is in a position to change the electoral map next year – and help our Party retain control of the White House. Rudy knows that our real opponents in this race are the Democrats – not fellow Republicans.”

Wayne Semprini, Giuliani’s New Hampshire Chairman, added, “Rhona understands New Hampshire politics as well as anyone. Her endorsement of Mayor Giuliani reflects deep and growing support that Rudy has here in the Granite State.” Like Charbonneau, Semprini also is a former state GOP Chair.

Giuliani Campaign Outraises Republican Candidates In Third Quarter

Giuliani Campaign Outraises Republican Candidates in Third Quarter
Reports Over $11 Million Raised, Over $16 Million Total Cash on Hand

New York City – The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee announced today that for the second quarter in a row the campaign leads the Republican field in dollars raised.  The campaign showed another strong quarter, totaling over $11 million raised and over $16 million total cash on hand.  The campaign reported raising over $10.5 million in primary dollars this quarter.

This quarter’s numbers also reflect the donations from supporters from over 1000 grassroots house parties that took place across the country in September.  Contributions have been received from all fifty states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.

“In a continued sign of growing support, our campaign has led the Republican field for the second quarter in a row in the fundraising race. We’re receiving real support from across the country because voters know Rudy Giuliani is the only candidate who has proven leadership, executive experience and can beat the Democrats in November,” said Giuliani Campaign Manager Michael DuHaime.

Rudy Giuliani Campaign Launches New Radio Ad In New Hampshire Entitled, “Tested”

Rudy Giuliani Campaign Launches New Radio Ad in New Hampshire Entitled, “Tested”

New York City - The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee today announced it will launch a new radio ad in New Hampshire, entitled “Tested.”   The ad focuses on Rudy Giuliani’s proven record of results, and his commitment to keep America on offense in the Terrorist’s War on Us and to grow the economy by cutting taxes and reducing the size of government.

Script for “Tested”:

RUDY:  “I’ve been tested in a way in which the American people can look to me. They’re not going to find perfection, but they’re gonna find somebody who’s dealt with crisis almost on a regular basis and has had results, results people thought were impossible.”

VO: Listen. That’s Rudy Giuliani. A leader with clearly defined goals.

RUDY:  “There are two big things at stake for the country… what direction we go in on terrorism and what direction we go in with regard to our domestic economy.  If you elect me we’re on offense against terrorism. And I want us to be on the offense for a growth economy in which we lower taxes, reduce the size of government… that’s how you create growth. “

VO:  Principle. Experience. Results. That’s Rudy.

RUDY:  “We laid out a very, very specific set of goals that we want to achieve because I want people to look at those and say if I agree with most of them, then this is a person who can bring them about.  And if they disagree with it, they should vote against me, because I am going to bring it about.

VO:  Rudy Giuliani.  The Republican that Democrats just don’t want to run against.

VO: Paid for by the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee, Incorporated.  joinudy2008.com

RUDY: I’m Rudy Giuliani and I approve this message.

Former Governor Pete Wilson Endorses Giuliani

Former Governor Pete Wilson Endorses Giuliani

Glendale, CA –The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee announced today former California Governor Pete Wilson has endorsed Rudy Giuliani for President. Wilson, whose public service in California ranged from serving as Mayor of San Diego to U.S. Senator to two-term Governor, is the latest in a strong delegation of support for Giuliani in California.

Wilson is currently a distinguished visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. Similar to Rudy Giuliani’s accomplishments as New York City Mayor, Wilson gained prominence by revitalizing San Diego in his eleven years as Mayor. In San Diego, Wilson declared an increased emphasis on public safety and held the city government accountable.

“The Republican Party is fortunate to have Rudy Giuliani as a candidate. Rudy’s executive experience and record of results in New York are unmatched,” said Governor Wilson. “Rudy has proven he is the leader and the problem solver this country needs as President, and he is the Republican’s best opportunity to win the general election because of that.”

“Pete Wilson’s accomplishments in virtually all levels of government in California prove that common sense governing is key to success in public service,” said Mayor Giuliani. “Pete will be an excellent advocate for our campaign and I am grateful to have his support.”

About Governor Pete Wilson:

Wilson is a distinguished visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution. He served as the thirty-sixth governor of California (1991-1999), eight years as a United States Senator (1983-1991), eleven years as Mayor of San Diego (1971-1983), and five years as a California State Assemblyman (1967-1971).

In the U.S. Senate, Wilson served as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and became a leading voice on national defense and U.S. foreign policy.

Wilson attended Yale University and served three years as a United States Marine Corps infantry officer. Upon completion of his military obligation, Wilson earned a law degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Former State Attorney General Joins Rudy’s Illinois Campaign

Lisle, IL – The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee today announced the endorsement of former Illinois Attorney General Jim Ryan. Ryan, the 2002 Republican nominee for Illinois Governor, is currently a Benedictine University professor.

Ryan, who served as Attorney General from 1995 to 2003, is the latest high-profile endorsement for Mayor Giuliani in Illinois. Ryan joins former Illinois Governor Jim Thompson and DuPage County State’s Attorney Joseph Birkett, who endorsed the Mayor earlier this month while he was visiting the state.

“Rarely will you find a candidate with the executive leadership experience and proven record of fiscal discipline and crime fighting like Rudy Giuliani,” said Ryan. “He is the proven leader who has never been afraid to take on tough challenges and find common sense solutions.”

“Attorney General Ryan is a well-respected and successful prosecutor, whose commitment to justice and our legal system is admirable,” said Michael DuHaime, Giuliani’s National Campaign Manager. “I’m honored to have Jim as part of our team in Illinois because it is an important state in helping to elect Mayor Giuliani as the next President of the United States.”

Thatcher Advisors Join Team Rudy

Thatcher Advisors Join Team Rudy
Conquest, Gardiner Join Other Distinguished Foreign Policy Experts As Campaign Advisors

New York City – The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee announced today that former advisors to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher Robert Conquest and Dr. Nile Gardiner are supporting Mayor Giuliani for President. Conquest will serve as a member of the Senior Foreign Policy Advisory Board and Gardiner, the Director of the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom at the Heritage Foundation, will serve as a member of the European Advisory Board. They join the campaign’s foreign policy team as the Mayor meets with former Prime Minister Thatcher, as well as former Prime Minister Tony Blair and current Prime Minister Gordon Brown, in London, England, where he will deliver the inaugural Margaret Thatcher Atlantic Bridge lecture.

“I support Mr. Giuliani because I see his approach to our international challenges as serious, careful and responsible,” said Conquest.

“Mayor Giuliani is a proven leader with a clear vision for keeping America safe and offers the kind of strong leadership that the United States needs to win the Terrorists’ War on Us,” said Gardiner. “In my time working with former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, I observed how her strong principles governed her decision making. Rudy Giuliani is a leader in her mold.”

The other new addition to the Mayor’s foreign policy team is National Review Senior Editor David Pryce-Jones, who joins as a Senior Foreign Policy Advisor.

“Mayor Giuliani is someone who sets an example of leadership which I find impressive. He clearly understands the dangers we are facing today,” said Pryce-Jones.

Mayor Giuliani’s foreign policy team advises the Mayor on a foreign policy vision that advances the United States as a world leader: expanding America’s involvement in the global economy, strengthening our reputation around the world, and keeping our country on offense in the Terrorists’ War on Us.

Rudy Giuliani Campaign Launches First Web Ad, “She Changed”

Rudy Giuliani Campaign Launches First Web Ad, “She Changed”

New York City - The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee today announced it will launch its first web ad, entitled “She Changed.”  The ad focuses on Senator Clinton’s politically expedient positions on the War in Iraq, as well as her support for the ad attacking General Patraeus placed by MoveOn.org in The New York Times.

The web ad goes up at www.JoinRudy2008.com beginning today.

Script is below.

Script for “She Changed”:

NARRATOR: “In 2002, Hillary Clinton voted to authorize military action in Iraq … because she believed it was the right thing to do.”

CLINTON: “If left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons.”

CLINTON: “He has also given aid, comfort and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al-Qaeda members.”

CLINTON: “So it is with conviction that I support this resolution as being in the best interests of our nation.”

NARRATOR: “But now that she’s running for President, Hillary Clinton has changed her position, even joining with the radical group MoveOn.org in attacking American General Petraeus. Clinton stood silently by when MoveOn.org ran this venomous ad in The New York Times.”

NARRATOR: “The same General she called an expert not long ago.”

NARRATOR: “Now, she is questioning his honesty.”

HILLARY CLINTON: “The reports that you provide to us really require the willing suspension of disbelief.”

NARRATOR: “Just when our troops need all our support to finish the job, Hillary Clinton is turning her back on them. General Petraeus and the brave men and women now serving under him deserve an apology. And our nation deserves better. Senator Clinton, do the right thing. Apologize for your comments and condemn the MoveOn.org ad.”
