Online Communications Expert James Richardson Joins Haley Barbour's Leadership PAC
Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour's political action committee today announced that online communications expert James Richardson will join Haley's Leadership PAC as a communications adviser concentrating on the expanded role of online journalists and opinion writers.
James served as online communications manager for the Republican National Committee in the 2008 presidential contest and later directed the communications efforts of its college GOP counterpart in 2009. Most recently, James consulted for various federal candidates and election committees, directing the online communications strategies of Indiana Senator Dan Coats and the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Himself a blogger at RedState.com, Richardson has contributed political commentary to The Guardian, Politico, Washington Times, Human Events, Fox News, CBS News, the Huffington Post and the Daily Caller.
Of Richardson's hire, Haley's Leadership PAC Chairman Henry Barbour said:
"Haley is very pleased that James Richardson has joined his team to help manage the national interest of bloggers and other online journalists in the Governor's political activity. Haley understands the significant role bloggers play in today’s political world and wants to maximize that dynamic medium.”
Haley's PAC announced Tuesday it had hired veteran South Carolina communications aide Jim Dyke.
