St. Paul- The Republican Party of Minnesota issued the following statements congratulating newly elected RNC National Committeewoman from Minnesota, Pat Anderson. Anderson was elected at today’s State Central Committee meeting for the Republican Party of Minnesota with 180 votes.
“I am thankful to the delegates for this opportunity to serve as National Committeewoman for Minnesota to the RNC. This is a critical moment and it is a chance to prove Minnesota’s importance to the RNC in the coming elections. I commit to working diligently on behalf of the conservative cause and our Republican-endorsed candidates to ensure victory in 2012,” said newly elected National Committeewoman Pat Anderson.
“I am so thankful to all of the RNC National Committeewoman candidates for running for this very important position within the Republican Party. We had great candidates, all of whom were committed to our conservative values and would have worked hard on behalf of the state party. I am excited to announce that Pat Anderson has been elected as National Committeewoman and pleased to welcome her to the team. Pat has a wealth of experience that she will be able to draw upon in her service to the RNC, including as Mayor of Eagan, Minnesota State Auditor, President of the Free Market Institute and most recently as the Republican endorsed candidate for State Auditor in 2010. Minnesota Republicans can rest assured that Pat will work hard on their behalf at the RNC, growing relationships across the country, fundraising and ensuring large victories in 2012,” stated Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Tony Sutton.
“It has been wonderful to have so many candidates running for RNC National Committeeman and Committeewoman. These are important positions to Minnesota and to the RNC, and all of the candidates running would have done a wonderful job as representatives of Minnesota to the RNC. We are excited to have Pat Anderson on board and look forward to seeing the great things she will accomplish on behalf of the state party and the RNC. Pat has proven herself to be a fighter, and someone who is unafraid to jump into the heat of the battle. Pat will be a great source of energy and resources over the coming months, and I look forward to working with her,” said Republican Party of Minnesota Deputy Chairman Michael Brodkorb.
MNGOP Chairman Tony Sutton Congratulates Newly Elected RNC National Committeeman, Jeff Johnson
St. Paul- The Republican Party of Minnesota issued the following statements congratulating newly elected RNC National Committeeman from Minnesota, Jeff Johnson. Johnson was elected at today’s State Central Committee meeting for the Republican Party of Minnesota with 186 votes.
“I would like to thank the delegates of the State Central Committee for their support in electing me to serve as National Committeeman for Minnesota to the RNC. I am very excited for this opportunity and ready to get to work for the conservative cause in Minnesota. This is an important position to conservative Minnesotans and I am committed to being the leader we need to guarantee a close relationship with the RNC and ensure victory in the 2012 elections,” said newly elected National Committeeman Jeff Johnson.
"I am so thankful to both of our RNC National Committeeman candidates for running for this critical position within the Republican Party. We had two very committed, conservative candidates, both of whom would have worked hard on behalf of the state party and our endorsed Republican candidates. As a former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives and current Hennepin County Commissioner, Jeff has proven himself to be a powerful, conservative voice in Minnesota, and will be a great asset in working with the RNC on behalf of the state party. Jeff will help to energize our conservative base, empower our endorsed candidates and enable them to win in the 2012 elections. I look forward to working with Jeff and the rest of our team in the coming months to maintain control of the Minnesota Legislature, gain another Congressional seat, defeat Amy Klobuchar, and turn Minnesota red in the presidential race," said Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Tony Sutton.
"I would like to thank both Jeff Johnson and Tom Emmer for running for the RNC National Committeeman position. Both of these candidates are committed to our state and our common sense conservative values, and would have been great to have on our team. Jeff has proven to be a conservative voice as a former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives and a current Hennepin County Commissioner. Jeff is conservative even when it’s not popular, and he is always willing to stand up for what he believes in. This RNC position deserves a great leader who is willing to go the distance to get our state back on track, and I think Jeff will represent Minnesota very well at the RNC and never fail to fight on behalf of Minnesota’s conservative cause," said Republican Party of Minnesota Deputy Chairman Michael Brodkorb.
