Former Congressman Dick Schulze to Lead Sportsmen With Newt
Atlanta, GA – Former Congressman Dick Schulze has endorsed Newt Gingrich for President and will lead Newt 2012's Sportsmen With Newt Coalition as Chairman.
"Our 2nd Amendment rights are under assault each day and we need a Newt Gingrich Presidency to defend against these attacks and defend our rights. Mitt Romney refused to stand up for our right to bear arms in Massachusetts and passed even more gun control laws. With more national and international organizations trying to limit Americans' access to firearms than ever before, it is imperative that we have a President Newt Gingrich who understands the historical, tactical and legal attacks on the 2nd Amendment and how to defeat these attacks." said Schulze.
Speaker Gingrich noted, "Congressman Schulze has been a champion of gun rights, wildlife and sportsmen issues for decades and I cannot think of a more appropriate person to lead this coalition. Myself and Callista are honored and look forward to working with the Congressman."
The Speaker continued, "Our Constitution undeniably protects the fundamentalright of American citizens to own firearms, protect themselves, and enjoy the outdoors without the government sitting on their shoulders. The modern attack on the 2nd Amendment is unlike anything we've seen in the history of the United States, and my administration will do everything in its power to protect these fundamental rights."
