
WASHINGTON – On Friday, January 11 the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) will host the grand opening of its merchandise store in Washington, DC. Official Inaugural collectibles will be available for purchase in the new Presidential Inaugural Committee store at 1155 F St. NW beginning Friday, January 11. Local residents and visitors in Washington, DC for the Inauguration will have the ability to buy official memorabilia only blocks away from the White House.
Commemorative merchandise, such as clothing, artwork, pins and buttons, will be sold in the store, including a special edition poster designed by celebrated artist and long-time supporter Chuck Close.
The store’s grand opening will feature remarks from PIC Senior Advisers Ben LaBolt and Marlon Marshall, as well as a performance by the Ballou Senior High School “Majestic” Marching Knights and an appearance by the Washington Nationals Racing President “Abe Lincoln.”
Official PIC merchandise will also be available for sale at select hotels throughout Washington, DC, and online at store.2013pic.org, ensuring that every American can commemorate this historic event. As part of the store’s launch, PIC is offering a 10 percent discount for first-time purchases with promo code “PIC10”.
The Presidential Inaugural Committee 2013 Official Store will be open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 9pm. This Sunday, January 13 the store will be open from 12pm to 6pm, and from 10am to 9pm 7 days a week thereafter. Store hours are subject to change.
In 2009, the PIC operated a similar retail outlet also located in downtown Washington, DC.
