President Obama to Campaign in Northern Virginia and Cleveland, Ohio on Friday, October 5, 2012

PRESIDENT OBAMA TO CAMPAIGN IN VIRGINIA AND OHIO

CHICAGO – On Friday, October 5, President Obama will continue to lay out his plan to move America forward with grassroots events in Northern Virginia and Cleveland, Ohio.

In both states, the President will discuss the choice facing Americans in this election between two fundamentally different visions of how to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs and restore middle-class economic security.

The President will also encourage supporters to register to vote and to vote early in Virginia and Ohio. In Virginia, the deadline to register to vote is October 15 and eligible voters can now vote early in person and by mail until November 3. Ohio’s deadline to register to vote is October 9 and Ohio polls open for early voting on Tuesday, October 2.

CHICAGO—Today Obama for America released a new television advertisement titled “Since When” to highlight Mitt Romney’s long-standing commitment to outsourcing. When Romney led Bain Capital, they invested in a Chinese company called Global Tech, which relied on American outsourcing for its success. Even though Global Tech promoted its practices of exploiting low-wage labor, Romney and Bain saw Global Tech as a good investment. So now, when Mitt Romney tries to talk tough on China, it’s just embarrassing. The American people know that trusting Romney to hold China accountable is like asking a fox to guard the henhouse.

“Since When” will air in New Hampshire, Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Colorado, Nevada.

PRESIDENT OBAMA TO CAMPAIGN IN COLORADO AND WISCONSIN

CHICAGO – The day after his first Presidential Debate of this campaign season, President Obama will continue to lay out his plan to move America forward with grassroots events in Denver, Colorado and Madison, Wisconsin on Thursday, October 4.

At both events, the President will discuss the choice facing Americans in this election between two fundamentally different visions of how to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs and restore middle-class economic security.

He will also encourage supporters to register to vote and to vote early in both states.  In Colorado, the voter registration deadline is Tuesday, October 9, and early voting begins on Monday, October 22.  In Wisconsin, early voting begins on Monday, October 22 and closes on November 2.  Residents of Wisconsin can also register and vote on Election Day, Tuesday, November 6.

MADISON – The day after his first Presidential Debate of this campaign season, President Obama will continue to lay out his plan to move America forward with a grassroots events on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

At the event, the President will discuss the choice facing Americans in this election between two fundamentally different visions of how to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs and restore middle-class economic security.

He will also encourage supporters to register to vote and to vote early.  In Wisconsin, early voting begins on Monday, October 22 and closes on November 2.  Residents of Wisconsin can also register and vote on Election Day, Tuesday, November 6.

Thursday’s event is free and open to the public – but an RSVP is required for entry into the event.  Those who wish to attend must RSVP online at www.barackobama.com/Madison2012.

To pass through security, guests must display their receipt on their mobile device or have a printed copy of their RSVP.
