OBAMA FOR AMERICA ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING OF OFA-MN FIELD OFFICE & STATE HEADQUARTERS IN ST. PAUL
ST PAUL – On Sunday, May 6th, at 2:30 PM, Sen. Franken and Rep. Betty McCollum will join Organizing for America Minnesota (OFA-MN) staff and volunteers to hold the grand opening of the St. Paul field office and statewide campaign headquarters. The field office will serve as the community hub for the organization’s activities in the St. Paul area and is the fourth OFA-Minnesota office to open in the state.
Since the launch of the re-election campaign in April, OFA-Minnesota staff and volunteers have held trainings, planning sessions, team meetings, house parties, canvasses and phone banks with communities around the state. Sunday’s office opening will be an opportunity for the President’s supporters to come together with friends and neighbors to discuss the important choice facing voters this November: between moving our country forward with President Obama to create jobs and invest in things like education and infrastructure to create an economy that’s built to last; or going backwards, to a time when a select few could write their own rules -- back to the policies that got us into this economic mess in the first place.
