Manchester, NH– Governor Charles E. “Buddy” Roemer's campaign announced today that Governor Roemer will hold his final town hall of the First in the Nation Primary with supporters at TurboCam International.  TurboCam is located at 607 Calef Highway in Barrington, NH 03825.
 
With a growing level of support and rising poll numbers in the Granite State, Governor Roemer will continue to spread his anti-corruption message of reforming a broken political system.
 
This is the last opportunity to meet Governor Roemer in a town hall format before the primary on Tuesday. The event will take place at 12:00 PM in the TurboCam cafeteria.  The event is free and open to the public.

Manchester, NH– Governor Charles E. “Buddy” Roemer, who has come out of nowhere of late to surpass Rick Perry in the polls in New Hampshire, and is neck and neck with Jon Huntsman in an Iowa poll conducted by Public Policy Polling, released the following statement to the participants of the Iowa Caucus:
 
"For the second straight week the Iowa polls have me at 2%. This, combined with the musical chairs phenomenon of GOP frontrunners, demonstrates that Iowans are as unsettled as the rest of the nation as to who they want to support for President. And they should be. This is a weak field of inexperienced candidates who are all perfectly comfortable saying anything to get elected."
 
"Iowans are a pretty savvy bunch. You know that a person's boss is who signs his check, but how many of you know who signs the checks of candidates you are considering in your caucus? What do you think any of the good ol' boy politicians will be able to do as long as they are taking millions of dollars from special interests? Do you think Romney will reform the Wall Street banks when he's been holding fundraisers with Goldman Sachs executives and betting his fellow candidates $10,000? Do you think Newt can do anything at all to enact health care reform, when the same health insurance and pharmaceutical companies that financed Obama are contributing to his campaign?  And what are the chances that Huntsman will demand fair trade with China when his billionaire daddy and the Huntsman Corp. profit from outsourcing American jobs to China?"
 
"I'm challenging Iowans to be more discerning about who they pick. A four-term Congressman and a Governor is a good start. Everyone wants to pick a winner. Manchester, NH– For the second time in as many weeks, Governor Charles E. “Buddy” Roemer has reached two percent in a statewide poll of likely Republican voters. The most recent poll, released yesterday by the independent Public Policy Polling, interviewed voters in the important state of Iowa, which will hold its first-in-the-nation caucus on January 3rd. Two weeks ago, Governor Roemer polled at two percent in New Hampshire, where he was tied with Senator Santorum, was beating Texas Governor Rick Perry, and was only a single point behind Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. The fact that Roemer is polling at two percent, with very little money available to his campaign and without having been invited to participate in a national debate, means his message is resonating with the voters regarding money in politics and the need for true reform. Imagine what the numbers might look like if Buddy were able to be on stage to debate.
 
“What do these polls say about the voters in Iowa and New Hampshire?” said Buddy Roemer. “It says they’ve looked at the field, just as I have, and they don’t see a President either.”
 
“I am pleased to have been included in the latest Iowa GOP poll,” Roemer continued. “Once the pollsters include me, I can work towards getting into the debates, and then we can shake this race up. Republicans are uninspired by their current choices, and I don’t blame them. Whether Iowans and Granite Staters vote for me because they are concerned about the economy, trade imbalances with China, or just want to cast a protest vote against this weak field of inexperienced candidates, the effect will be the same, to make this race much more interesting.”
 
A recent Boston Globe editorial apparently agrees that Governor Roemer would add to the debate, saying that “Roemer is capable of bringing fresh energy to the long-running GOP show: It’s even possible to imagine him catching fire for at least a moment, the way the tag team of Trump-Bachmann-Perry-Cain-Gingrich have all taken turns as Mitt Romney’s sparring partner.”

Manchester, NH–Governor Charles "Buddy" Roemer today announced the release of a radio advertisement set to air on New Hampshire stations over the next few weeks. The spot captures the spirit of Roemer’s seminal 1987 Louisiana gubernatorial ad, entitled "A Revolution for Louisiana," which depicted a younger Roemer looking into the camera and talking directly to the voters.

The similarity of the two ads demonstrates that Governor Roemer has been one of the most consistent candidates on the issue of corruption in politics. In the 1987 ad, Roemer says, "I don't like Louisiana politics… I love Louisiana." In the 2011 ad, Roemer says that he “loves America, but we are a nation in trouble. You don’t trust government, nor should you.”

"The messages are the same," says Roemer. “We have been headed in the wrong direction for a while. It didn’t start in 2008 or 2004. This ad draws a clear contrast between a consistent, conservative reformer like myself, someone who has walked the walk for over 30 years, and candidates like Gingrich and Romney who are constantly reinventing themselves in an effort to get some distance from their big-government initiatives."

Manchester, NH – Independent-minded Governor Charles “Buddy” Roemer, a presidential candidate, who has been systematically shut out of all nationally televised debates and mysteriously omitted from the polls that would allow him to qualify for the debates, is taking his message directly to New Hampshire voters with a significant ad buy. The campaign has produced three 30-second ad spots which will air on WMUR over the course of the next few weeks in order to boost Roemer’s name ID in the Granite State.
 
“This is an important step for our campaign,” said NH State Director Chris Buck. “Our plan is to demonstrate that Governor Roemer is a ‘viable’ candidate in time for the upcoming debates in New Hampshire. Of course, it helps that he has the most experience out of any presidential candidate, as the only presidential contender to be both a Governor and a Congressman, and a successful businessman.”
 
Governor Roemer said he is optimistic about his prospects for surprising New Hampshire voters. “Once Granite Staters see me in the debate, once I get a chance to call Gingrich a big-government lobbyist to his face, and question Romney on his so-called independent Super PAC’s, we’ll be looking at an entirely different scenario.
