Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour Announces 2010 Candidate Contributions
JACKSON, MS – Mississippi Governor and Republican Governors Association Chairman Haley Barbour is helping lead Republican candidates to victory throughout America, as the November 2nd, mid-term elections approach.
As of today, Haley’s PAC has contributed $440,000 to candidates and state and national Republican organizations. Haley's PAC has participated in all 37 contested gubernatorial races with a direct contribution to the campaign or to the state party's victory program. This is in addition to financial support provided by the RGA to gubernatorial candidates.
Barbour explained, “We can’t wait until 2012 to start taking our country back. We are fortunate to have so many qualified conservative candidates running for office to fight against the outrageous spending and dangerous deficits that the current Democratic leadership has embraced. I am happy to be a part of the change that is much needed throughout the country, and I am confident these candidates will deliver once elected.”
