(Stockbridge, Georgia)- Longtime corporate executive and conservative leader Herman Cain will announce his decision regarding a potential presidential campaign on Saturday, May 21, 2011 in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

The event will be a free rally open to the public.

Cain is widely believed to have been the winner of the first 2012 Republican candidate debate Thursday evening in Greenville, SC, and has steadily gained grassroots and financial support across the U.S. He is best known for his executive positions in many major American corporations, including Godfather's Pizza, Pillsbury and Burger King. He also served as the President of the National Restaurant Association and the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Missouri.

It is often said that "if you hear Herman Cain once, you'll never forget him." Apparently, several million Americans agree.

Last night, Herman appeared at the FOX News/ South Carolina GOP presidential debate, the first of its kind for the 2012 presidential election.

Here's just some of the media coverage about his performance at the debate:

Human Events: "Cain's outsider status, his clarity in his responses, and his successful past as a businessman who turned around companies that were failing, resonated with an audience that previously did not know much about him."

CBS News: "Based on the Fox News focus group conducted immediately following the event, Herman Cain is about to run away with the GOP nomination."

National Journal: "An African-American newcomer who brags about his lack of Washington experience bests a field of more seasoned pols. Nope, we're not talking about Barack Obama. Even The Huffington Post agreed that Herman "sent shockwaves" at the debate.

Frank Luntz conducted a focus group immediately following the debate, and he was in awe of their response: “I have never had this kind of reaction until tonight,” Luntz said. “Something very special happened this evening.”

Additionally, the term "Herman Cain" trended worldwide on Twitter and became the #2 most searched term on Google in the past 24 hours. Clearly, it's true: "if you hear Herman Cain once, you'll never forget him."

(Stockbridge, GA)- Following the announcement of the successful assassination of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, potential Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain said:

As Americans, we mark this occasion with a somber sense of satisfaction for the families, friends and loved ones who still suffer the pain of irreplaceable loss of life. Justice has been served.

We all owe a deep and abiding gratitude to the men and women in uniform and throughout our intelligence agencies for placing themselves in harm’s way to protect our way of life, while defending the honor and memory of their fellow citizens.

Although eradicating terrorism and those that would carry out its cowardly and despicable ends is far from over, we pause at this time to reflect on the events of September 11, 2001 and pray that those lost on that day know they are far from forgotten by their country.

Corporate Executive and Grassroots Favorite Announces Participation in First Presidential Debate

(Stockbridge, GA)- Business executive and conservative leader Herman Cain announced today that he has accepted the invitation to participate in the South Carolina Republican Party/ FOX News Presidential Debate at 9 p.m. EDT, Thursday, May 5, 2011 in Greenville, South Carolina.

"I look forward to participating in the debate Thursday," Cain said. "It gives me the opportunity to share my 'Common Sense Solutions for America,' as well as my private sector experience in balancing budgets and creating jobs."

"We are incredibly pleased that Mr. Cain plans to join our field of candidates for this debate," said Karen Floyd, Chairwoman of the South Carolina Republican Party. "We are eager to hear from him and the rest of our great candidates about their plans for putting our country back on track."

Cain meets all debate qualifications and will file necessary paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission to participate. This is not an announcement of a candidacy. Rather, Cain will use the debate as means to "test the waters" and gauge the reaction to his "Common Sense Solutions for America."
