St. Paul –Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Pat Shortridge and Deputy Chairwoman Kelly Fenton issued the following statement welcoming Mitt Romney to Minnesota today.

“We would like to welcome Governor Romney to Minnesota today. Minnesota will be a key state this November. The numbers show that Minnesotans are frustrated with the Obama administration and its failed economic policies. We’re confident the Romney-Ryan ticket can win the hearts and minds of Minnesotans.

“President Obama's ideas have failed. Highertaxes, bailouts, massive overspending and new regulations have left Minnesotans with high unemployment, massive debt, rising health care costs, and huge amounts of red tape. We need Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to go to Washington and get our country back on track. We need more jobs, more freedom and less government overreach.

“We know they will deliver.”

MNGOP Chairman Pat Shortridge Congratulates Newly Elected RNC National Committeewoman, Janet Beihoffer on her Election
 
St. Paul-The Republican Party of Minnesota issued the following statements congratulating newly elected RNC National Committeewoman from Minnesota, Janet Beihoffer, on her election. Beihoffer was elected at today’s State Central Committee meeting for the Republican Party of Minnesota by a vote of 215 to 124. She served as Election Day Operations Director for the State Party in 2010 and currently serves as the Voting Integrity Director for 2012. Beihoffer will take office after the RNC Convention held in Tampa in August.

“I want to thank the delegates for this opportunity to serve as National Committeewoman for Minnesota to the RNC. This is a critical time for our country, our state and our State Party, and I look forward to joining the team in this new capacity. We must unite as conservatives and work to see our initiatives move forward and our candidates get elected. I am ready to get to work on behalf of our endorsed candidates as we head into November,” said newly elected MNGOP National Committeewoman Janet Beihoffer.

St. Paul-The Republican Party of Minnesota issued the following statements congratulating RNC National Committeeman from Minnesota, Jeff Johnson, on his re-election. Johnson was re-elected by acclamation at today’s State Central Committee meeting for the Republican Party of Minnesota. He was first elected to this position on April 16, 2011.

“I would like to thank the delegates for their support in re-electing me to serve as National Committeeman for Minnesota to the RNC. This is a great opportunity and I’m excited to continue the work we have started. I will continue my work to ensure a close relationship with the RNC as we head into November and work as part of the State Executive Committee to send our Republican majorities back to St. Paul, fire Senator Klobuchar and flip some of our Congressional seats in November,” said National Committeeman Jeff Johnson.

St. Cloud, May 18th, 2012: Kurt Bills was endorsed by the Republican Party of Minnesota to run against
Amy Klobuchar for Senate. After two ballots, Bills received over 60% of the vote, the threshold to win
the nomination. The convention was held in St. Cloud.

“We are ready and excited to send Kurt to Washington,” said Ryan Lyk, Chairman of the Minnesota
College Republicans. “Our government needs a lot of fixing, but right now it needs to start with a
