Gingrich Campaign to Air 30 Minute Speech on Lowering Energy Prices in Key Markets In Advance of Super Tuesday

Atlanta, GA – Newt 2012 announced that it will be purchasing 30 minute blocks of time in key cities between now and Super Tuesday to air a twenty-eight minute address by Newt Gingrich on the subject of lowering gasoline prices, creating jobs and achieving energy independence.

“The answer to Governor Romney’s 30 second attack ads filled with garbage is a 30 minute address filled with substance,” says Gingrich Communications Director Joe DeSantis. “Newt’s message about lowering gasoline and other energy prices is resonating and the Obama administration is on defense over their policies hostile to American energy production, which are causing pain at the pump.”

The 28 minute speech, which Gingrich delivered without a teleprompter or text, is called “$2.50 per Gallon Gasoline, Energy Independence and Jobs – An Address by Newt Gingrich.”  It can be viewed here:

In the address, Gingrich outlines the facts behind America’s energy production potential and points out why becoming an energy production powerhouse would benefit Americans in almost every aspect of their lives:

“Every time you can lower the cost of energy, you make it easier for us to have manufacturing and you lower the cost of living…We have a lot more jobs, and we need a growing economy with a lot of new jobs, because we want to be a country where America works best when Americans are working…We are not a country of food stamps and welfare.  We are a country of the work ethic, of a job, of take‑home pay, of opening up our own business.  And this kind of energy program will do just that.”

Newt 2012 will be announcing the air times and locations of the speech in the coming days.

Speaker Newt Gingrich to Address Metro Churches Sunday

ATLANTA – House Speaker Newt Gingrich and wife Callista Gingrich will return to Georgia this Sunday to visit First Redeemer Church in Cumming and Rock Springs Baptist Church in Milner, Ga.

Gingrich will address the congregation at the Rev. Richard Lee’s First Redeemer Church at the 10:30 a.m. service. First Redeemer has more than 6,000 attendees.

The former House Speaker, who represented Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, will address the Rev. Benny Tate’s 6:00 p.m. service at Rock Springs, a church with a congregation of 6,000 drawing from 18 counties in Georgia.

“We look forward to welcoming one of Georgia’s native sons, Speaker Newt Gingrich, to First Redeemer Church,” said Rev. Lee. “He truly is a man of great knowledge concerning our challenges in America and has the solutions that many us of believe will return our country to greatness.”

The Rev. Tate said Rock Springs’ members will likely attend the evening service this Sunday to hear Gingrich’s talk.

“We are very excited to have him come to our church,” the Rev. Tate said. “Newt is so right on the issues, and he is very deep in his faith. I especially admire his unwavering support for Israel.”

Gingrich represented Georgia’s 6th District in Congress from January 1979 to November 1998.

SEATTLE, WA – Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and current GOP Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich will campaign in Washington State on Thursday, Feb. 23rd and Friday, Feb. 24th. He will be in Spokane and the Tri-Cities on Thursday, and in several Puget Sound locations on Friday.

Newt2012 Washington Chairman Pastor Joe Fuiten noted, "We are very excited to have the Speaker come campaign in Washington. As Speaker he balanced the budget, reformed welfare, and created millions of new jobs.  Newt 2012 Launches New Latino Ad in English for Arizona Primary

Phoenix, AZ - Today, Newt 2012 launched a new ad, “Latinos with Newt,” targeting the Latino crossover market in Arizona. The ad highlights four Hispanic men and women who discuss why they support Newt Gingrich for President.

"For Newt, Hispanic Inclusion has been front and center in his campaign since Day One," explains Sylvia Garcia, National Hispanic Inclusion Director. "He understands that just as all Americans, Latinos are greatly suffering from the high unemployment rate and empty promises of this administration. They demand a change and know the only candidate that can rebuild the America they love is Newt Gingrich," added Garcia.

The ad highlights President Obama's failure to get the economy back on track and how Latinos have been greatly affected as a result. Each testimonial discusses Newt's proven record in job creation and his concern for American Hispanics.

"Few people understand the true Hispanic market like Newt does," said Lionel Sosa, Senior Advisor to the campaign. "He gets Latinos and understands the diversity in language, age, and culture. Yet, one thing is very clear to Newt: Latinos are people of values. They are Americans who strongly believe in family, in religion, in hard work, and in right to life," explains Sosa.

Newt Gingrich has received unwavering support from the Hispanic community because of decades of outreach since he was Speaker of the House. Gingrich has actively worked with Hispanic leaders since leaving Congress, even launching TheAmericano.com in 2009 and publishing two books in Spanish. Since the start of his campaign, Gingrich has had a Spanish site NewtPresidente.com and a robust Hispanic Inclusion team. Recently, he unveiled his National Hispanic Steering Committee comprised of top Latino leaders from different states.

Newt 2012 looks to win over the Latino vote in Arizona. This new ad is just one step to gaining their support. Unlike most campaigns, Newt Gingrich does not treat Latinos as a political convenience. His relationship is based on respect for the culture and the values of this community, as well as admiration for their history of hard work and contributions to the economic success of this nation.

Newt Gingrich Secures His Name on Delaware Primary Ballot

Dover, DE - The Newt Gingrich campaign submitted 1049 signatures to the Commissioner of Elections earlier this month.  The Commissioner's office has formally certified this submission and Speaker Gingrich will be on the ballot in Delaware for the Delaware Presidential Republican Primary on April 24.

State Director Christopher Mantei is enthusiastic for the overwhelming support the Speaker has received during the signature process. "We believe that the overwhelming success in collecting signatures for the ballot and the support voiced among voters are tremendous indicators of momentum in this state that will materialize in Speaker Gingrich securing the Delaware Primary on April 24th. Republicans in Delaware have a clear choice between the leadership of Newt Gingrich, responsible government and a stronger American versus the failed policies of a Massachusetts moderate. I'm proud to have led the charge have Newt's name placed on the ballot in Delaware."

Republican voters in Delaware have propelled conservative Presidential Candidates forward in past years.  Ronald Reagan had Primary Victories in Delaware in both 1980 and 1984 where he subsequently carried Delaware in the General election.  Michael Reagan, son of the President, along with many other members of the Reagan administration have been campaigning with Speaker Gingrich in the 2012 election cycle. He is also being joined on the trail by conservative leaders such as Gov. Rick Perry, Herman Cain and Fred Thompson, and the list grows daily. The Delaware Gingrich campaign has established leadership in all 3 counties and in many precincts throughout the state.

Delaware is has a winner-take-all Presidential Primary that will award 17 delegates. This is the first Republican Party in many decades that has the potential to be down to the wire with delegates and the 17 votes going to Delaware's winner could be the margin of victory.
