Newt 2012 Releases New Ad: “Main Street”
Atlanta, GA - Newt 2012 released its new ad, “Main Street,” which began airing statewide today in Iowa. The ad can be viewed here.
Communications Director Joe DeSantis said the ad continues Speaker Gingrich’s focus on communicating his Jobs and Growth plan for the economy and that it will air in conjunction with the “Winning the Argument” debate clip ad, which was released yesterday.
“Main Street” features Gingrich speaking to camera, expressing optimism that with the right policies, America can create millions of new jobs right now. Using full-screen graphics, the ad drives home the message that Newt has a plan to fix the economy. And that Newt and his plan are endorsed by the architect of Ronald Reagan’s economic plan, Art Laffer.
During his Jobs and Growth bus tour throughout Iowa this week, Newt Gingrich is drawing a clear contrast with Governor Romney about the Governor’s timid response to Barack Obama on the economy, and lack of a bold plan of his own for jobs and growth.
DeSantis said Newt 2012 has placed a major buy in Iowa, and will remain on air through the January 3 caucus.
Transcript of ad:
If you hear high unemployment is our new normal, just say bologna!
We can create millions of jobs right now.
My plan includes repealing laws that raise taxes and strangle business.
Cutting taxes so America is once again the best place to invest and create jobs.
And unleashing the power of our energy industry.
That's just a start. Working together, we can rebuild the America we love and get people working again. I'm Newt Gingrich and I approve this message.
