Mitt Romney Announces “Believe In America: Every Town Counts” Bus Tour

MITT ROMNEY ANNOUNCES “BELIEVE IN AMERICA: EVERY TOWN COUNTS” BUS TOUR

Boston, MA – Mitt Romney will meet with America’s families and business owners in small towns in six states as part of his “Every Town Counts” five-day bus tour. The “Every Town Counts” bus tour will begin in New Hampshire on June 15 and will continue on to small towns in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan.

“For three and a half years, President Obama has paid little attention to the everyday concerns of the American people,” Mitt Romney said. “President Obama has offered no hope for the future, and he has left American families to bear the burden of his failed policies. Too many American families have experienced a lost job, faced foreclosure, or been forced to spend their kids' college savings just to make ends meet. These are not statistics – these are our fellow Americans. In America’s small towns, you don't find despair -- you find boundless optimism. We know we can make America better, and that is why I am running for president.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today’s regional Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Chicago concluded with U.S. Senator Marco Rubio winning the CPAC Straw Poll. The Straw Poll was sponsored by The Washington Times and conducted by Fabrizio, McLaughlin & Associates.

Today’s Midwest CPAC was a high-energy day bracketed by dynamic remarks by top regional and national conservative leaders, including U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, KS Gov. Sam Brownback, Herman Cain, NJ Gov. Chris Christie, LA Gov. Bobby Jindal, U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson, OH Gov. John Kasich, IN State Treasurer Richard Mourdock, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, and former Sen. Rick Santorum.

In first place, Sen. Rubio secured 30 percent of the vote by registered CPAC attendees, followed by Gov. Chris Christie at 14 percent. Representative Paul Ryan received 9 percent of the vote, closely followed by Sen. Rand Paul with 8 percent and Gov. Bobby Jindal with 7 percent.

“We convened thousands of energized conservatives today at CPAC Chicago from across the Midwest and over 20 states,” said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. “It’s been a long-standing and fun tradition at CPAC National as well as our regional CPACs to poll the attendees and get their opinion on a number of important issues.”

Santorum Launches Patriot Voices Which Will Mobilize One Million Conservatives

Chicago, IL - Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum announced today the launch of a new organization, Patriot Voices, which will mobilize one million conservatives around this country who are committed to promoting faith, family, freedom and opportunity.

As a candidate for President, Rick Santorum earned the support of millions of conservatives and energized countless Americans who felt no one was representing their views. Senator Santorum's 11-state victory reminded voters that conservative values are alive and well all across America.
