State Rep. Tom Cilmi Endorses Newt Gingrich
Atlanta, GA - In New York, 10th District Suffolk County Legislator Tom Cilmi today endorsed Newt Gingrich for president and will represent the 3rd Congressional District as a Gingrich delegate to the 2012 Republican National Convention.
Cilmi said, "Our Country is facing historic, monumental challenges which will not be solved with the same old rhetoric. We need bold ideas. We need a President with the courage and clarity of purpose to stand up to the establishment, break through the walls of bureaucracy and return the United States to first principles. Now more than ever, before it's too late, for our economy, for our national security, for our future, our Country needs Newt Gingrich."
Gingrich thanked Climi, saying, "My campaign for President of the United States will continue to focus on helping to restore our economy, create jobs and strengthen our families. I thank Tom for his support, and look forward to working with him as we march to towards the Republican nomination this summer and then on to the White House."
Tom Cilmi was elected in 2009 and has been recognized as a conservative leader in the Suffolk County Legislature. Prior to his election, Cilmi worked in manufacturing and owned a commercial printing business. Married for 24 years, Tom and his wife, Anna, have remained active in many of the business, civic and youth organizations that make up the fabric of their community.
