Manchester, NH – Jon Huntsman for President today announced the details of Governor Jon Huntsman’s trip to Washington D.C. on Monday, November 14th and New Hampshire from Tuesday, November 15th to Thursday, November 17th.

Bachmann for President Campaign Grows in Iowa -Adding Full-time Staff Members and College Outreach Leader

Urbandale, Iowa – Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann announced today the addition of two full-time staff members and a college leader to the already growing roster in Iowa. Two presidential campaign veterans, Megan McGreal Ferraro and Craig Handzlik, join the team as Advance Director and Lead Advance respectively. Iowa-native, Alex Latcham, will work as College Outreach Leader.

“Michele’s true conservative message of limited government and economic growth resonates with Hawkeye voters statewide,” said Eric Woolson, Iowa campaign manager. “Megan, Craig and Alex will play critical roles in taking her message across the state as our team pushes forward to win the all important first-in-the-nation caucuses on Jan. 3.”

Ferraro will oversee the planning, scheduling and execution of all campaign events and event staff. Prior to her position with Bachmann for President, Ferraro worked on John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign and Bush/Cheney’s presidential bid in 2004. She has served as project manager for many national grassroots campaigns including the Consumer Electronics Association’s “America Wins With Trade,” and coordinated the planning, launching and execution of many national healthcare campaigns with Secretary Michael Leavitt, CMS Administrator Mark McClellan and CMS Administrator Kerry Weems at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Handzlik is a campaign operative who served as a key advance member to former presidential candidate John McCain and running mate, former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. In addition to his campaign experience, Handzlik worked as lead advance to Secretary Michael Leavitt from HHS, among many other heads of state and elected officials. In his new role, Handzlik will oversee the logistics and execution of all Iowa events.

Latcham is a Des Moines native and a student at Drake University. He will head up outreach to Iowa's college Republican organizations and individual students.

Osage, IA - 2:30 p.m. CT - Newt will attend a U.S. history class and visit with students at Osage Middle School located at 820 Sawyer Drive.

Mason City, IA - 4:00 p.m. CT - Newt will visit the North Iowa Area Community College.

Wednesday, November 16

Urbandale, IA - 7:30 a.m. - Newt will headline a fundraiser for Jeff Mullen, a candidate for the Iowa State Senate, at the Machine Shed Restaurant located at 11151 Hickman Road.

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign announced today that Congressman Paul, an Air Force veteran, will hold an upbeat rally to honor our nation’s veterans.
 
The event will be held on Saturday, November 12th at 11:00 a.m. at the Summit Pointe Conference & Event Center, located at 805 Spartan Blvd. in Spartanburg, South Carolina.  The event is free and open to the public.

James Garfield Presidential $1 Coin Rolls Available November 17, 2011

WASHINGTON - The Presidential $1 Coin honoring James Garfield will be released on November 17, 2011.  At noon Eastern Time (ET) the same day, the United States Mint will begin accepting orders for collectible rolls of 25 circulating quality coins each.   Each roll contains coins from either the United States Mint at Philadelphia or Denver priced at $39.95 each.  They are wrapped in specially designed paper that displays the mint of origin ("P" or "D") and "$25," the face value of its contents. 

The obverse (heads side) of the James Garfield Presidential $1 Coin was designed and sculpted by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Phebe Hemphill.  In addition to President Garfield's portrait, the obverse includes the inscriptions JAMES GARFIELD, IN GOD WE TRUST, 20th PRESIDENT and 1881.  The reverse (tails side), featuring the iconic Statue of Liberty, was designed and sculpted by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Don Everhart.  It includes the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and $1.  The inscriptions 2011, E PLURIBUS UNUM and a mint mark designating the mint of origin are edge-incused.

Herman Cain Campaign War Chest Skyrockets

Presidential candidate Herman Cain is “in it to win it,” according to newly released financial numbers. The Herman Cain Campaign reports receiving over $9 million of financial support from Cain backers since October 1 st . Twenty-five percent of these newly received contributions have come in the last ten days.

The generosity of Mr. Cain’s followers has more than doubled in the past five weeks, compared to the financial gifts received in the previous two quarters combined. According to the campaign’s third quarter FEC filing, Mr. Cain’s campaign received $4.7 million from May through September 30 th . The campaign has received a total of $14.1 million in financial support since the start of the campaign.

“Mr. Cain’s vision to renew our country and create new jobs via his bold “9-9-9 Plan” is resonating across America,” said Mark Block, Chief of Staff to the Herman Cain presidential campaign. “Mr. Cain’s business experience and executive leadership is needed to put America back on the track to prosperity.
