Delaware Democratic Party Welcomes New Executive Director

NEW CASTLE – On Wednesday, the Delaware Democratic Party announced the hiring of a new Executive Director, Joe Aronson. Aronson will be responsible for guiding the Democratic Party through the important 2012 election season

Aronson joins the Democratic Party with an impressive string of accomplishments under his belt. Most recently, Aronson served as the Executive Director of the North Dakota Democratic Non-Partisan League. Under his leadership, the Party experienced its most successful fundraising year in Party history, and recruited hundreds of young progressives into the party organization. Originally from Minnesota, Aronson has worked on campaigns for Senator Al Franken, Representative Collin Peterson, and numerous Minnesota legislators in both their campaigns and government offices. Aronson is a graduate of Saint John’s University.

“I am extremely impressed with Joe’s credentials and his commitment to the progressive cause,” said State Chairman John D. Daniello. “I look forward to seeing what new ideas and perspective he can bring to our party organization.”

“I’m really excited to be part of this strong party with such great leaders and elected officials,” Aronson said. “I look forward to getting out across the state and meeting with all of our activists and supporters to ensure that 2012 is another successful year for the Delaware Dems.”

Tim Pawlenty: I could give a speech and tell you I was running for president.

I could have a podium with my campaign logo on it.

I could have balloons. Red ones, white ones and blue ones.

I could pass out stickers and cupcakes.

I could promise that we can eliminate a $14 trillion debt, create jobs for 10 million people, restructure Social Security and health care, all without making any tough decisions.

Or, I could try something different. I could just tell you the truth.

The truth is our country's in big trouble. We have far too much debt. too much government spending, and too few jobs.

We need a president who understands that our problems are deep and who has the courage to face them.

President Obama doesn't. I do.

Tomorrow, my first campaign stop will be in Iowa, and that's where I'm going to begin a campaign that tells the American people the truth....

I believe with all my heart that the challenges that we face can be overcome.

I grew up in a blue collar town. My dad worked as a truck driver. My mom died when I was a teenager. And I was the first in our family to graduate from college.

Rick Santorum Announces Additional New Hampshire Endorsements

Verona, PA - Former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) announced the endorsements of several elected Republican officials and prominent activists in New Hampshire for his presidential exploratory efforts: Hillsborough County Attorney Dennis Hogan; New Hampshire State Representatives Randall Whitehead, Don LeBrun, Bill Ohm, and Kevin Brown; Merrimack Councilman Bill Boyd; and prominent activist Steven Lewis.

· Hillsborough County Attorney Dennis Hogan represents two of the biggest cities in New Hampshire - Manchester and Nashua. In 2006 he became the only person in New Hampshire history to run a successful write-in campaign for a party's nomination for State Senate and in 2009 the Nashua Republican City Committee made Hogan their chairperson.

· State Representative Randall Whitehead of Nashua served as a Ward Chairman for Ronald Reagan's campaign, and his endorsement of Senator Santorum is his first presidential endorsement since his work on the Reagan campaign.

· State Representative Don LeBrun of Nashua has served as a strong advocate for Veterans' rights and is an outspoken supporter of Israel. In addition to his service in the New Hampshire state House of Representatives, LeBrun is a member of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association.

· State Representative Bill Ohm of Nashua is an accomplished business executive who has more than 30 years of experience with high-tech companies, serving as Vice President and General Manager of ADE Technologies.

· State Representative Kevin Brown is a lifelong resident of Nashua and is a strong advocate for 2nd Amendment rights.

· Councilman Bill Boyd of Merrimack, in addition to his work on behalf of the people of Merrimack, chairs the Economic Development Citizens Advisory Committee in Merrimack, and represents the community as an alternate to the Town's Planning Board.

· Steven Lewis of Atkinson has become one of New Hampshire's most prominent political activists and successful political fundraisers. Lewis owns one of the state's largest development and building companies, Steven Lewis, Inc., and he served as one of Governor Bensons' chief supporters during his successful campaign for governor.

"I am pleased to welcome these conservative activists to our team. I am confident that their support will be invaluable as we build the grassroots network necessary to get out our message of believing in the American people again," said Senator Santorum.

Herman Cain Accepts New Hampshire Debate Invitation

(Stockbridge, GA)- Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain announced today that he has accepted the invitation from CNN, WMUR and the New Hampshire Union Leader for the first debate in the Granite State. The debate will be held Monday, June 13, 2011 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. EDT at Saint Anselm College in Manchester and broadcast on WMUR in New Hampshire and across the U.S. on CNN.

"I look forward to sharing my 'common sense solutions for America' and my record of real results with the people of New Hampshire and those watching at home," Cain said. "I am especially excited about the 'town hall' format that will allow for me to speak directly with the people of New Hampshire about their concerns facing this country and my vision for getting America back on the right track."

Cain urged his fellow Republican candidates and prospective candidates to confirm their attendance for the debate, as well. Atlanta, GA – Three of Georgia’s top conservative leaders will help lead Newt Gingrich’s just launched campaign for President. Former Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue and U.S. Senator Zell Miller will serve as national chairman for Newt 2012 and Governor Nathan Deal will chair Newt 2012 in Georgia. The three leaders bring decades of conservative leadership credentials to Newt Gingrich’s campaign to find the right policies and the right results for America.

“I’m proud to have three very important Georgians helping lead our campaign,” said Gingrich. “Sonny, Zell and Nathan are good friends and have always provided good counsel. They will be three very important voices as we talk to the American people about the right policies we need to win the future.”

"America, at this critical juncture, needs a leader who has the discernment and understanding of where America needs to go, and the courage and leadership to implement that vision,” said former Governor Sonny Perdue. “Newt Gingrich has what it takes to do both."

In addition to his efforts in Georgia, Governor Deal will be a liaison to other Governors for the 10th Amendment Enforcement project. The effort will identify areas where the federal government has overstepped its bounds or imposed burdensome regulations that restrict job growth.

“There is a lot going on in Washington that can be done a lot better if left to the states,” Gov. Deal said. “Newt understands the role the federal government should and shouldn’t be playing in our lives.”

Zell Miller was Georgia’s 79th Governor serving from 1991 to 1999 and a United States Senator from Georgia from 2000 to 2005. In 2003, Sonny Perdue became Georgia’s first Republican Governor elected in over 150 years. Governor Nathan Deal was sworn into office in January 2011, previously he served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2010
