Iowa Campaign For Liberty is pleased to announce that 11-term U.S. Congressman and former presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul (R-Texas) will visit Iowa City on Friday, October 29th.

Congressman Paul will speak to students, staff, and the general public at a Rally to be held on the campus of the University of Iowa. Just four days before election day, and with the country facing economic peril and an uncertain future for America's youth, this 2008 presidential candidate will enlighten and challenge all who come.

The event will take place in the Main Lounge in the Memorial Union (125 N. Madison St.) at the University of Iowa. Doors to the Main Lounge open at 7:15 p.m., and the program will begin at 7:30 p.m.

This event (free and open to the public) is being hosted by Iowa Campaign for Liberty and the University of Iowa chapter of Young Americans for Liberty.

Sioux City, IA - Newt Gingrich and radio host Mike Gallagher will be rallying voters in Sioux City on October 22nd to support Iowa candidates whose policies will help create new jobs. The stop in Sioux City is part of American Solutions nationwide Jobs Here, Jobs Now tour.
 
"Voters have a clear choice this election," said Gingrich, who is the General Chairman of American Solutions. "On one hand you have tax raising, job killing agenda of the Democrats - the party of food stamps. On the other you have the low tax, job creating agenda of the Republicans - the party of paychecks. We're going to rally support for those candidates that will help create jobs."
 
The Jobs Here, Jobs Now Tour is stopping in Waukesha, WI; Duluth, GA; and Jacksonville, FL and Greenville, SC generating support for pro-job creation candidates. Additional cities are expected to be added to the tour. Earlier this month, American Solutions launched the Power of 10 Campaign to help recruit the ten million new voters needed to swing the election away from the incumbent Democrats and send job creating candidates to Washington to replace the current Congress.

Rick Santorum Forms Iowa Keystone PAC
State political action committee formed to assist Iowa candidates

Washington, DC – Former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) announced today the formation of the Iowa Keystone Political Action Committee, a state PAC that will allow him to assist candidates running for office in Iowa.

“My federal PAC, America’s Foundation, has already assisted some candidates in the Hawkeye State, but I am eager to do more and the Iowa Keystone PAC will help us do that.  There are many strong conservatives running in Iowa and assisting them with financial support may help put them in the victory column come Election Day,” said Senator Santorum.

The PAC is registered with the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure board and intends to donate at least $25,000 to candidates before November.

Former Senator Santorum will be back in the Hawkeye State next week.  He will be in Cedar Rapids and Coralville on October 13 and Davenport and Dubuque on October 14.  Specific details will be released later this week.

Santorum has traveled to Iowa five times in the last year including his most recent stop in August to the Iowa State Fair.
