Obama for America Releases New Television Ad: “Preserving ”

CHICAGO – Today, Obama for America released a new television advertisement titled “Preserving,” that highlights the key difference between President Obama and Mitt Romney’s plans for Medicare: the President has worked to preserve it for seniors and future retirees, while Mitt Romney would end Medicare’s guaranteed benefits and turn it into a voucher program. In doing so, the Romney-Ryan plan could raise seniors’ health costs by up to $6,400 a year. President Obama’s plan, on the other hand, is preserving the program by rooting out fraud and abuse; lowering seniors’ Medicare premiums and out-of-pocket costs; and eliminating $156 billion in wasteful subsidies to insurance companies. The choice in this election for seniors and middle-class families is clear: we can either continue to move forward with an economy that’s grounded in a strong middle-class, or we can go back to the same top-down economic policies of the last decade that crashed our economy and punished the middle-class.

“Preserving” will start airing tomorrow in Colorado, Florida, and Iowa.

Boston, MA –On Monday, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will launch a three-day “Romney Plan For A Stronger Middle Class” bus tour across Ohio. The tour will begin as Paul Ryan campaigns in Lima and continues on to Cincinnati. Mitt Romney will then travel to Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland, and Toledo.
