WASHINGTON - Today, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus announced the RNC and Romney Victory raised a total of $632,819,846 in 2012 and the RNC alone raised a total of over $378 million for the entire election cycle. As reflected in the latest FEC filing, the RNC had $4.7 million cash on hand at the end of the year and is completely debt-free. The RNC raised a total of $2,315,100 in December of 2012.

"The RNC’s fundraising efforts in 2012 were truly impressive,” said Chairman Priebus. “Thanks to the generosity of grassroots supporters and major donors alike, RNC and Romney Victory brought in a record breaking $632,819,846 last year to support our candidates. After rebuilding our operation, the RNC was able to exceed expectations and previous election year totals by raising over $378 million for the entire cycle.

“The RNC now enters 2013 without any debt, allowing us to move forward on a solid financial footing. We have important work to do, guided by the upcoming recommendations of the Growth and Opportunity Project, as we take our message of economic opportunity to every state and community. With the continued support of our donors and sound financial stewardship, we will move swiftly to renew our party and grow our ranks so that we can win more elections--in 2013, 2014 and beyond.”

Republican Party of Wisconsin Opens Four Permanent Field Offices

[Madison, Wis.] – The Republican Party of Wisconsin announced today that it will open four permanent regional campaign offices across Wisconsin as part of its commitment to build the Party and steadily prepare for the mid-term elections. The offices are located in Eau Claire, Green Bay, Madison, and Waukesha. The program represents an unprecedented off-cycle investment made by the Republican Party of Wisconsin leading up to the 2014 midterm and gubernatorial elections. Grand opening celebrations are scheduled for this Saturday, January 26.

Since January 1, Regional Field Directors have been building on the Party’s solid ground game and meeting with Party leaders and conservative activists across the state. They are tasked with building County Party organizations, developing a strategic coalition outreach program, enhancing the Party’s online outreach efforts, and mobilizing the Republican grassroots army to continue identifying Republican voters.

“The investment in our future made by the Party will help ensure that we have the organization needed to be successful in 2014 and beyond,” said Joe Fadness, Executive Director of the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “The Party is unified in its cause and motivated to organize now as we construct an impressive operation that will span all 72 counties and ensure that Republicans build on recent successes at the state level.”

In 2012, the Republican Party of Wisconsin helped protect Governor Walker and Lieutenant Governor Kleefisch from a baseless recall, take back control of the State Senate, make gains in the State Assembly, and re-elect all 5 members of the Republican Congressional delegation.

Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today announced two new hires joining his Washington office staff as of this week. Alberto Martinez is joining as Deputy Chief of Staff and Brooke Sammon as Deputy Press Secretary.
 
“I'm proud to welcome Albert and Brooke to our team and am excited about the entire staff we have in place for the productive and important year ahead,” said Rubio. “I look forward to the legislative work we'll be doing in the 113th Congress, including our initiatives to expand middle class opportunities and reform America’s broken immigration system. These new hires will bolster the great team we have to serve the people of Florida and help us advance these important initiatives.”
 
BACKGROUND ON TODAY’S STAFF HIRE ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
Alberto Martinez: Martinez is a long serving adviser to Senator Rubio who most recently served as a senior advisor to Senator Rubio’s Reclaim America PAC and the Romney for President campaign. Previously, Martinez served as communications director for the Republican majority during Senator Rubio's term as speaker of the Florida House. In 2009, he stepped down as chief of staff to the majority whip in the Florida House to work as a senior adviser to Rubio’s Senate campaign. Prior to his work with Rubio, Martinez served as deputy speechwriter for Governor Jeb Bush and Florida communications director for President George W. Bush’s reelection campaign in 2004. Martinez is a native of Miami, Florida.
 
Brooke Sammon: Sammon is returning to Capitol Hill after previously serving as the press secretary for U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) and U.S. Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-GA). Last year, she worked on the Romney for President campaign, where she directed surrogate media and worked closely with Senator Rubio as he traveled the country on behalf of the Republican ticket. Her experience also includes campaigning for U.S. Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) and working for former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino. Sammon is a native of Ohio.
