Governor Martin O’Malley to Deliver Two Key Iowa Addresses at Soapbox & Wing Ding Events
Des Moines – This Thursday, August 13th, Governor Martin O’Malley will speak at the Iowa State Fair Soapbox in Des Moines and address caucusgoers at the North Iowa Democratic Wing Ding in Clear Lake on Friday.
This three-day swing will be O’Malley’s eighth trip to Iowa since announcing his campaign, and will also include grassroots events in Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls, and Council Bluffs in addition to the campaign’s third field office opening, in Sioux City.
Governor O’Malley has made Iowa the focus of his campaign and spent more time in state than any other democratic candidate since announcing on May 30th. O’Malley will continue to devote significant time in Iowa this summer, focusing on retail politics in the Hawkeye state, where a hand-shake and an honest conversation matter far more than even the largest rally.
