On Wednesday October 5, Senator Bernie Sanders will campaign in Des Moines as part of a multi-state Midwestern campaign swing for the Clinton-Kaine ticket. Wednesday's Des Moines stop was added to make up for appearances tentatively scheduled in Iowa on Monday, October 3.
Sanders will discuss Hillary Clinton's plan to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top, and Donald Trump's plan, which would benefit himself and other millionaires and billionaires.
At the event, Sanders will say let's raise the minimum wage to a living wage, let's combat climate change and move to sustainable energy, let's make public colleges and universities tuition free, let's end a broken criminal justice system. Most importantly, let's defeat Donald Trump and make Hillary Clinton our next president.
With more people voting in this election than any in history, Iowans can vote early either by mail or at their county auditor’s office.
