Governor Bobby Jindal and Senator Rick Santorum Confirmed to Speak at The FAMiLY LEADER's Northwest Iowa Family Leadership Regional Summit on September 1, 2015
Urbandale, IOWA – The FAMiLY LEADER's Northwest Iowa Family Leadership Regional Summit, to be held on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Dordt College Campus Center in Sioux Center, Iowa, will rally Iowans to take a stand for the sanctity of human life and demand the public defunding of abortion giant Planned Parenthood.
Just as Simon Conway's recent Truth Exposed rally gave over 1,000 supporters in Des Moines the opportunity to make their voices heard on behalf of the unborn, the Regional Summit will give those in northwestern Iowa and beyond the chance to speak out on this hot-button issue.
"Undercover and whistleblower videos exposing Planned Parenthood have outraged Americans, appalled by the horrific practices of our nation's abortion mills," said Bob Vander Plaats, president & CEO of The FAMiLY LEADER. "The Summit will not only rally those Americans, but also give them the opportunity to hear what national leaders have to say about the sanctity of life and the sale of human body parts."
Former U.S. Senate primary candidate Sam Clovis, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, and former Sen. Rick Santorum are confirmed speakers for the Summit.
The Family Leadership Regional Summit is a multi-speaker policy/issues event, similar to TFL's annual Family Leadership Summit held in Ames each year. The evening event (tentative start time at 6:30 p.m.) will feature state and national conservative leaders with the end goal of educating Iowans about the issues that impact their families.
The FAMiLY LEADER will conduct the NW Iowa Family Leadership Regional Summit through a partnership the Dordt College Political Science department. Founded in 1955 as a teacher's college with a firm commitment to the Reformed faith, Dordt College now offers masters' degrees in education as well as four-year degrees in more than 90 programs of study, including engineering, agriculture, and nursing. Dordt's distinct and organic integration of faith and learning, as well as its reputation for academic excellence, have contributed to the college's consistent mention on best college lists by U.S. News & World Report, Forbes.com, and Money Magazine.
The Family Leadership Regional Summit will be a ticketed event, and tickets are complimentary. Tickets are available at http://www.thefamilyleader.com/events/nw-family-leadership-regional-summit/.
