Hillary for America Launches Gun Violence Ad During State of the Union
 
A newly released ad called “I’m With Him," highlights Hillary Clinton’s commitment to standing with President Obama and fighting the gun lobby for reforms that reduce gun violence in America.  In the ad, Hillary Clinton argues that “It’s time to pick a side. Either we stand with the gun lobby or we join the President and stand up to them. I’m with him.”
 
Last week, President Obama authored an op-ed saying he would not campaign for candidates who did not support his agenda on gun violence reform including ending immunity for gun dealers and manufacturers. Last night during a forum in Iowa, Senator Bernie Sanders re-affirmed his opposition to ending that immunity after voting to create it in 2005.
 
The ad includes a digital ad buy during President Obama’s State of the Union address. The ad will run on national cable and in Iowa and New Hampshire starting tomorrow. The digital ad includes a petition to support President Obama and Hillary Clinton’s call for gun violence reform.

On January 13 and 14, Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin will campaign for Hillary Clinton across Eastern Iowa. Shumlin will make stops at Hillary for Iowa organizing offices and events in Burlington, Keokuk, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, Grinnell, and Newton, and he will speak at the Ankeny Area Democrats Winter Banquet in Des Moines. Shumlin endorsed Hillary Clinton in May, citing her lifelong commitment to fighting for everyday Americans as the reason he believes she’s the right person to be the next President of the United States. He is the 81st governor of Vermont and serves as chair of the Democratic Governors Association.

Hillary Clinton released the following statement about the announcement that the United Food and Commercial Workers have endorsed Hillary Clinton for President. Clinton now has the endorsement of 20 national labor unions or labor alliances representing over 12 million American workers.  
 
“I am honored to earn the endorsement of the United Food and Commercial Workers and their more than 1.3 million members.
 
"American workers built the greatest middle class in history by fighting for higher wages, safer working conditions, retirement security and the right to bargain collectively.  The UFCW has been there every step of the way.  They've fought to raise the minimum wage and reform our broken immigration system. They've stood strong to protect the rights and safety of workers across the country. And they've advocated for policies that would help working families get ahead, like paid sick days, fair scheduling and more full-time shifts.
 
"As president, getting incomes rising for working Americans will be my number-one priority. I'll stand up for workers and fight attacks on collective bargaining. I'll protect Social Security from Republican efforts to privatize it, and I'll fight to ensure more hardworking Americans can retire with dignity. CONCORD, N.H. - The New Hampshire Democratic Party today announced that all three Democratic presidential candidates will headline the 2016 McIntyre Shaheen 100 Club Celebration that will be held on Friday, February 5 at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire.
 
Each of the confirmed candidates will speak about their vision to invest in the middle class and keep America moving forward.

At the organizing events, Chelsea will talk to caucus-goers about how her mother will make a difference for families as president and what is at stake in this election for women and families.

In New Ad, Hillary for America Outlines the Dangerous Consequences of a Republican President, Makes Clear Clinton Is the One To Stop Them
 
In a newly released ad called “Incredible," Hillary for America stresses the dangerous and damaging consequences of any of the current Republican candidates occupying the Oval Office and reminds primary voters that Hillary Clinton is the one candidate who can successfully fight back and stop them. The new ad showcases the Republican field’s promises to enact an out-of-touch and out-of-date agenda.
 
In the ad, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and other Republicans are featured in their own words opposing wage increases for working Americans, supporting a repeal Obamacare, promising to defund Planned Parenthood and calling for unnecessary conflicts abroad. The ad touts Hillary Clinton as the best candidate to take on the Republicans, get things done for the middle class and fight to keep moving the country forward.

The new 30-second spot is part of the campaign's ongoing buy in New Hampshire and Iowa and will run alongside previously released ads.
