Clinton Campaign Announces Hillary for Minnesota Leadership Council
The Clinton Campaign announced the launch of its “Hillary for Minnesota Leadership Council” (HFMN LC) – a group of over 60 elected officials, community, student, coalition and grassroots leaders who will help build a grassroots-driven volunteer team that will help Hillary to win the Minnesota Caucuses on March 1.
These Leadership Councils will serve as the in-state leadership for the campaign, amplifying the campaign’s national voice to Minnesota families aiding the campaign with rapid response, organization building, grassroots organizing events, recruiting volunteer leaders, and identifying leaders for Get Out The Vote and Get Out the Caucus activities.
Many of the Leadership Council members share Clinton’s commitment to raising wages for the middle class, her plan to reform health care to reduce prescription drug costs, her passion for reforming the criminal justice system and her belief that debt should never be a barrier for students going to college and much more.
“As our next President, Hillary Clinton will fight for Minnesotans because she believes it’s not about what’s right or what’s left, it’s about what’s right and what’s wrong – and she’s got a long track record of getting results,” said Senators Klobuchar and Franken. “Whether it’s building an economy that works for hardworking Americans, making college more affordable for students and families, or strengthening communities, Hillary Clinton is focused on the right priorities for Minnesota and we’re proud to be a part of her team.”
“No candidate is better qualified than Hillary Clinton to tackle the issues that matter most to Minnesotans: raising their incomes, access to affordable and quality health care, and taking on special interest forces,” said Governor Dayton and Lt. Governor Smith. “Hillary is committed to fighting for every vote in the Minnesota caucuses, and we’re ready to get to work to help her win in 2016.”
“Throughout her life Hillary has been an advocate for children and working families,” said Denise Specht, President of Education Minnesota. “Hillary has a proven record of supporting public education and public services, which are essential in making sure that everyone has the opportunities to succeed to the best of her or his abilities. Hillary Clinton is the leader we need.”
“Throughout her career, Hillary Clinton has been a fighter for women, children and families and I’m honored to be a part of her Minnesota team that will help mobilize supporters and grow our volunteer infrastructure,” said Teresa Campbell, Grassroots Volunteer Lead
Over the course of the campaign, the HFMN LC will continue to expand.
