May 25, 2016, Salt Lake City, UT -- Gary Johnson 2016, Governor Gary Johnson’s presidential campaign committee, yesterday filed a Joint Fundraising Committee with the Federal Election Commission, the Gary Johnson Victory Fund.
 
As a Joint Fundraising Committee, the Gary Johnson Victory Fund can accept up to five figure donations from individuals.  In partnership with a growing list of state Libertarian Parties,* the  Gary Johnson Victory Fund can receive checks of up to $80,000.
 
The Gary Johnson Victory Fund offers the opportunity to raise substantial funds for building a campaign infrastructure capable of raising name recognition for Gary Johnson significantly and boosting the candidate’s polling numbers.

May 25, 2016, Orlando, FL — The Gary Johnson 2016 campaign released a list of Libertarian Party leaders and libertarian movement luminaries who have endorsed former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson for the Libertarian Party’s 2016 presidential nomination.

As his campaign released the list of endorsers, Governor Johnson remarked, “As we Libertarians head to Orlando for the nominating convention, I am gratified to have the support of so many Libertarian leaders and advocates for freedom. Many of those who are supporting my nomination have worked long and hard to put us in the historic position we are today, and I am humbled to have their confidence.”

Governor Johnson was nominated as the Libertarian Party’s candidate for president in 2012.  That cycle, Governor Johnson won a record popular vote total, more votes than any previous Libertarian presidential nominee.

The Libertarian Party will convene in Orlando, FL this Memorial Day weekend to select its presidential nominee.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign on Tuesday released a new television spot that will run in California ahead of the state’s June 7 primary election.

“What choice do Californians have in this election?” Sanders asks in the ad. “The biggest one of all. You have the power to choose a new direction for the Democratic Party. To break the back of a corrupt system of campaign finance that keeps a rigged economy in place. To stand up to Wall Street and make the wealthy pay their fair share. To fight for tuition-free public colleges and universities.”

Sanders on Monday called on Hillary Clinton to join him for a debate in the country’s most populous state, but the former secretary of state declined to participate. Sanders said it was “insulting to the people of California – our largest state – that she is not prepared to have a discussion with me about how we address the major crises we face.”

“California, it’s a long way to Washington, but you can send them a message they can’t ignore,” Sanders says as the ad concludes.

Sanders ran a spot in California in April during one of Clinton’s high dollar fundraisers in the state. The ad, called “$27,” focused on the average contribution to the senator’s grassroots campaign. Clinton asked donors to raise $353,400 to get a seat next to her at the head table during two California fundraisers. George Clooney, the actor who hosted both events, called that an "obscene amount of money."

WASHINGTON – Today Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus announced the leadership of the 2016 Republican National Convention Committee on Resolutions, commonly known as the Platform Committee.
 
Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming will serve as Chairman of the Committee. Governor Mary Fallin of Oklahoma and Congresswoman Virginia Foxx of North Carolina will serve as Co-Chairs.
 
“Senator Barrasso, Governor Fallin, and Congresswoman Foxx have been dedicated leaders in our Party for many years, and I am proud to have them heading up the Platform Committee,” said Chairman Priebus. “I know they will bring their good judgment and a principled vision for our Party and our country into this role. Background:
 
As part of the Republican National Convention, the Platform Committee – comprised of one man and one woman from each state and territory – will meet to outline the core principles and values of the Republican Party.
 
Senator Barrasso is the fourth-ranking member in the Senate Republican leadership and serves as Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee. Senator Barrasso has a long and distinguished career in both medicine and public service.
 
Governor Mary Fallin is serving her second term as governor of Oklahoma. Governor Fallin was the first woman and first Republican ever elected Lieutenant Governor in Oklahoma, as well as the first woman elected Governor. She is currently the chair of the Republican Governors Public Policy Committee. She also served two terms in the House of Representatives, serving on the House Committees on Armed Services, Small Business, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Natural Resources.
 
A former community college president, Congresswoman Foxx is the chair of the House Education and the Workforce Subcommittee on Higher Education. She also serves as the Vice Chair of the House Rules Committee and Secretary of the House Republican Conference.
