Bernie Sanders Returns to South Carolina on Friday, February 26, 2016

BURLINGTON, Vt. -- U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Friday will return to South Carolina. The Democratic Party presidential candidate will host an HBCU tour stop and rally at Claflin University with Killer Mike and a GOTV rally in Columbia. Sanders will discuss a wide range of issues important to South Carolinians, including making college affordable, income inequality and criminal justice reform.

Just days before the March 1st primary, Hillary Clinton will return to Arkansas to get out the vote at a rally at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff on Sunday, February 28. Clinton will encourage Arkansans to take advantage of early voting, which ends the following day, and lay out the case for why she is the only candidate who has the experience to get the job done and break down the barriers that hold Arkansans back.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN  — EMILY's List president Stephanie Schriock will join Hillary Clinton supporters and volunteers for organizing events with Hillary for Minnesota this Thursday, February 25th and Friday, February 26th.  Schriock will discuss Hillary Clinton’s record of breaking down barriers for women and girls throughout her career and urge Minnesotans to caucus for Hillary on March 1st.

EMILY's List, the nation’s largest resource for women in politics with over 3 million members, has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president.

Schriock was campaign manager for Sen. Al Franken’s successful 2008 bid for United States Senate, where he won by a margin of 312 votes. Schriock is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Hillary for America Releases New Ad Highlighting Clinton’s Commitment to Solving the Flint Water Crisis
 
Today, Hillary for America released a new sixty second ad called, “This City Means Something,” highlighting the ongoing water crisis in Flint, Michigan and Hillary Clinton’s commitment to solving the problem and providing long-term support to the people of Flint.
 
The new ad airing in Michigan features Flint Mayor Karen Weaver, Pastor Allen Overton, and Flint resident Angelina Harris discussing their own accounts of Clinton’s commitment to fixing the crisis in Flint no matter how long it takes. In the ad Mayor Karen Weaver says, “When you have somebody like that fighting for you and supporting you and saying ‘I’ve got your back,’ you can’t ask for much more.”
 
Upon learning of the crisis, Clinton sent senior aides to Flint to meet with the Mayor and local leaders, to work with families and community service organizations, and to help identify solutions to the ongoing lead poisoning crisis.
 
Clinton personally travelled to Flint earlier this month to bring attention to the crisis, and publicly called on Gov. Rick Snyder to stop refusing to trigger additional federal resources from the Obama administration by formally requesting federal emergency status. After Clinton's challenge, Snyder publicly sought a presidential declaration that would allow additional federal resources to come to Flint.
 
Hillary for America also sent an email to supporters urging them to donate to help the children in Flint, and the campaign opened an office in Flint to serve as a resource for local supporters to get involved with volunteer opportunities to support the relief effort. In the past weeks, Clinton campaign volunteers have joined the Red Cross and other local relief organizations to distribute water and other supplies to Flint residents.
