RNC Announces Hires to National Press Team
WASHINGTON – The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced the hiring of Cassie Smedile as National Press Secretary and Blair Ellis as Deputy National Press Secretary.
“We’re thrilled to have both Cassie and Blair join our communications department, whose wealth of knowledge, expertise, and years of experience will be invaluable to the Republican Party,” said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. “Together they will be an asset as we work to spread our message to Americans across the country, support President Trump and his agenda, and strengthen Republican majorities nationwide.”
Cassie Smedile brings ten years of Capitol Hill communications experience to the RNC, most recently serving as Communications Director for Senator Todd Young. A proud native of Kansas City, Missouri, Cassie graduated from Marquette University with a degree in Broadcast Communication and a minor in Political Science.
Before joining the RNC, Blair Ellis served as a Press Secretary for the Energy and Commerce Committee and has three years of Capitol Hill experience. She is a graduate from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Journalism School with a double major in political science and public relations and a concentration in political communication.
