Julián Castro to Hold First California Rally in East Los Angeles on Saturday, April 6, 2019
SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 3, 2019) – Today, the presidential campaign of former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under President Obama and San Antonio Mayor, Julián Castro, announced the details of his upcoming ‘People First’ rally in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 12:00 PM PST. The rally will take place in the James A. Garfield High School gymnasium in East Los Angeles. Doors open to media at 11:30 AM PST and to attendees at 12:00 PM PST. Secretary Castro will also appear on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday, April 5, 2019, at 7:00 PM PST/9:00 PM CT.
In Los Angeles, Secretary Castro will share his vision for a more inclusive and prosperous nation, one where every American can live up to their potential. Secretary will also discuss his ‘People First Immigration’ policy, released via Medium on Tuesday, April 2, which would overhaul our immigration system, create a more just and compassionate border policy, and establish a 21st century Marshall Plan for Central America to re-engage our Latin American partners and address the root causes of migration.
