Kamala Harris Organizers and Volunteers to Knock On Thousands of Des Moines Area Doors Friday Ahead of LJ Dinner
Harris’ Husband Doug Emhoff Will Rally the Team Before Sending Everyone Out to Canvass
Ahead of the Liberty and Justice Celebration on Friday, November 1, Senator Kamala Harris’ field organizers and volunteers will mobilize to knock on thousands of doors throughout Des Moines and surrounding suburbs, instead of participating in the traditional sign wars at the LJ. Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff will launch the canvass, firing up the team ahead of an exciting day. The canvass comes as Harris has continued to focus on organizing efforts in Iowa throughout the lead up to the Iowa Democratic Party’s Liberty and Justice Celebration. Harris has gone “all-in” on Iowa after spending 15 days at more than 30 events across the state in October.
During the canvass, organizers will continue their work of engaging Iowans in one-on-one conversations on their doorsteps about Harris’ record of fighting for justice for all Americans, and her plans as President to fight for economic justice, reproductive justice, and health care justice, among others. As Harris has said across Iowa this month, justice is on the ballot in 2020.
The organizing effort on the morning of the Liberty and Justice Celebration is just one more way in which the campaign continues to engage caucusgoers in every county and every precinct across the state.
