Biden for President Launches New Ads in Twin Cities, Duluth, and Rochester, Minnesota
Today, Biden for President announced its TV ads will begin airing in Minnesota on Tuesday, September 1. The ads will air in the Twin Cities, Duluth, and Rochester markets and are part of Biden for President’s historic $280 million TV and digital ad reservation in battleground states across the country that was announced earlier this month.
“What Happens Now” is a 60-second ad that asks what happens when people are losing their health insurance and jobs while President Trump doesn’t have a plan to address COVID-19.
“Joe Biden knows how to lead through a crisis because he’s done it before,” the narrator says. “Now, Joe Biden is ready to lead us through the crisis. He knows rebuilding our economy starts with fighting the virus, increasing testing, getting more protective gear for health care workers, and calling for mask mandates nationwide...So what happens now? We elected a president who will build back better.”
“Backbone” is a 30-second ad about Joe Biden’s roots in Scranton, Pennsylvania and how he’s always thinking about the workers he grew up with -- not the wealthy and well-connected.
“Scranton is a long way from Wall Street. You won’t find skyscrapers or big city bankers. Just hard-working people. That’s where Joe Biden’s story starts,” the narrator says. “It’s why he’s running for President: for the backbone of this nation. Working families. Donald Trump? He’s in it for himself and his wealthy friends.”
