MINNEAPOLIS, MN — This weekend, Senator Amy Klobuchar will head to Ohio days before the Democratic debate to emphasize the importance of competing in swing states in 2020. Senator Klobuchar previously did a Blue Wall tour of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.

On Saturday and Sunday, Senator Klobuchar will host meet and greets in Toledo, Cleveland and Dayton and deliver remarks at the Ohio Dems 2019 State Dinner in Columbus.

109-Year-Old Ruth Knelman Supports Amy Klobuchar for President

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Today, Senator Amy Klobuchar released a video from 109-year-old supporter Ruth Knelman. Born in 1910 — 10 years before women won the right to vote — Ruth has lived through 18 presidents and now wholeheartedly supports Senator Klobuchar’s bid for the White House.

In the video, Ruth says, “There’s one thing that would complete my life. If Amy was President and that she would invite me and a friend to the ceremony!” Ruth says she plans to be “around for a long time” and is ready to fly out for Klobuchar’s inauguration.

On social media Klobuchar jokingly challenged her opponents in the Democratic field to top Ruth’s endorsement. “Game on,” she said.

My name is Ruth Knelman and I live in Minneapolis.

What year were you born, Ruth?

I was born in 1910 which makes me 109-years-old.

What’s it like to be 109?

I don’t feel it—I don’t, really!

You’ve lived to see 18 Presidents! For you, what makes a good President?

18? My gosh. Be honest, upright citizen. Be truthful.

Do you think Amy would make a good President?

Amy—I tell you, we would really be in clover if she—oh! She is so, so wonderful for us—for people. Really.

What advice do you have for living a long life?

The worst thing in a person’s life is stress. It really—that’ll get you.

What’s next for you, Ruth?

There’s one thing that would complete my life. If Amy was President and that she would invite me and a friend to the ceremony! And wouldn’t that be something? Oh! Amy Klobuchar Raises Nearly $5 Million In Third Quarter, Exceeding Second Quarter Numbers by $1 Million

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Today, the Amy For America campaign announced it raised $4.8 million from more than 105,000 donors in the third quarter. The campaign exceeded its second quarter fundraising numbers by $1 million and easily surpassed the DNC’s November debate donor threshold with the strongest online fundraising quarter since launching in February. The average contribution was $29.78 and 89.7% of donors gave less than $100.

“Our campaign used the third quarter to make aggressive investments in our early state campaign infrastructure. These investments, along with stand-out debate performances from Senator Klobuchar and effective organizing across the early states, enabled us to easily meet the debate thresholds for September and October and surpass the required unique donor number for the November debate,” said Amy For America campaign manager Justin Buoen. “None of that would have been possible without the outpouring of grassroots support we received from Americans who believe in Amy’s unifying, optimistic message. As we head into the final quarter of 2019, we continue to build momentum and a strong grassroots operation that can win in 2020.”

In the third quarter, Senator Klobuchar held more than 120 events across 14 states -- including a Blue Wall Tour of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. She earned “support of more current and former legislators from Iowa than any other presidential candidate” and announced what one New Hampshire news organization called “the most impressive list of endorsements by any presidential candidate so far in the campaign.” The campaign rolled out plans to combat climate change, revitalize agricultural and rural communities, take action on gun violence, increase access to affordable housing, strengthen our democracy, and more.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Today, the Amy for America campaign announced its first TV ad buy of the primary. ‘All of America,’ which begins airing on broadcast and cable in Iowa and New Hampshire this week, highlights Amy Klobuchar’s unifying message and shows why she’s the strongest candidate to take on Donald Trump.

“As Amy said on the debate stage, there is far more that unites us than divides us and she’s running to be president for all of America,” said Amy For America campaign manager Justin Buoen. “She knows how to bring people together, she knows how to get things done, and she knows how to win. Our new ad builds on the case Amy’s making to voters in Iowa and New Hampshire and underscores exactly why she’s the best candidate to not just defeat Donald Trump, but deliver victories up and down the ballot.”

The ad will begin airing ahead of Klobuchar’s 20th visit to Iowa -- where she will travel to her 50th Iowa county -- and her 14th trip to New Hampshire. Amy Klobuchar Earns Six New Endorsements from Former Pottawattamie County Vice Chair, Community Activists

DES MOINES, IA — Today the Klobuchar campaign announced six new endorsements from influential community and party activists. Klobuchar has visited Iowa 18 times since announcing her candidacy for president, has earned endorsements from more current and former Iowa state legislators than any other candidate, and has visited half of the state’s 99 counties. These endorsements illustrate Klobuchar’s growing momentum in the state following the Steak Fry where hundreds of supporters rallied around her.

“I’ve been impressed with Amy Klobuchar since she was first elected and I’m proud to endorse her for President.
