MANCHESTER, NH — Michael Bennet today unveiled a commitment to hold 50 New Hampshire town halls in the 10 weeks leading up to the First in the Nation primary on February 11, 2020. Bennet made the announcement in a brand new digital ad featuring him going town to town and pledging to answer the toughest questions to demonstrate why he is the best candidate to beat Donald Trump.
“I’ve spent a lot of time in New Hampshire, and I’ve learned that people here are common sense. Voters haven’t made up their minds, and I’m going to be here when you do,” says Bennet in the video ad. “You deserve to hear directly from me about what my plans are, how I’m going to pay for them, and how I’m going to take on Trump.”
Bennet’s path to victory runs through living rooms, coffee shops, and businesses, meeting voters where they are and answering every last question. The tour begins today with a five-day swing that takes him up and down the state, from Nashua to the North Country. Visit MichaelBennet.com/NewHampshire to learn more and find a town hall near you.
Bennet, who has scaled up his operation in the state in recent weeks, has promised to spend more time in New Hampshire than any other candidate until the primary. At a time when other campaigns have pulled back in the state, Bennet for America has announced significant political support, brought on more staff, and opened new offices. In the past two weeks, the campaign announced endorsements from State Reps. Joyce Fulweiler and Marjorie Smith, as well as longtime Democratic activist Dan Calegari.
Bennet represents Colorado in the Senate, but he has not spent a lifetime in politics. He turned around failing businesses in the private sector and improved outcomes for kids as superintendent of the Denver Public Schools. Bennet is the only candidate in this race who has won two national elections in a swing state. He has released comprehensive, field-leading proposals to provide high-quality, affordable health care with a public option, reward hard work, fix our broken political system, and tackle climate change by working with our farmers and ranchers.

Digital Ad Transcript:
People ask me all the time, how are you going to win the nomination and beat Donald Trump? Let me show you.
I'm going door to door, town hall to town hall, and visiting some diners along the way. Between now and primary day, I'm going to hold 50 town halls across the state and answer every question.
I've spent a lot of time in New Hampshire, and I've learned that people here are common sense. Voters have not made up their minds. And I'm going to be here when you do.
Supporter 1: Hi, I'm Gail, and I canvassed on behalf of Michael Bennet today because I really support his efforts toward creating better educational opportunities.
Supporter 2: I trust what he says is what he wants to.
You deserve to hear directly from me about what my plans are, how I'm going to pay for them, and how I'm going to take on Trump.
I come from Colorado, which is a lot like New Hampshire. It's a third Democratic, a third Republican, and a third Independent. To succeed, you learn to say the same thing in the primary that you say in the general election.
Go to MichaelBennet.com/NewHampshire and find a town hall that's near you. Come ask your toughest question, and then decide which candidate is best to beat Donald Trump.
