Kamala Harris to Join Supporters at California Office Opening in Oakland
Senator Harris will also be joined by Representative Barbara Lee
On Sunday, September 29, Kamala Harris' campaign will officially open its first California office in Oakland, where Harris was born and has built a strong support system throughout her life. Senator Harris will headline the event with Representative Barbara Lee, whose district is based in Oakland and includes most of Northern Alameda County. The leaders will join hundreds of supporters who are ready to organize across the state and talk to their communities about Harris’s 3AM agenda focused on the tangible issues that keep Californians up at night.
The office opening comes as the Harris campaign continues to build support and momentum across the state. Thousands of Californians have already attended Camp Kamala trainings and gained tools to organize in their communities, and supporters held over 46 watch parties in their communities across the state during the most recent debate. The campaign is also working with volunteers to launch several initiatives to bring diverse groups of supporters together, including APIAs For ThePeople, Latinos For The People, South Asians For The People, Divine 9 For The People, and Veterans For The People.

On Wednesday, October 2, Senator Kamala Harris will visit Las Vegas to meet with 1 October first responders and SEIU Local 1107 nurses, speak at the Giffords/March For Our Lives 2020 Gun Safety Forum, participate in a conversation with Cecile Richards and Supermajority, and discuss her 3 AM agenda with Nevadans at an organizing even in East Las Vegas. On Thursday, October 3, Kamala will visit Reno to join UAW Local 2162 on the picket line and discuss her 3 AM agenda at a town hall at the University of Nevada, Reno.
This will be Kamala’s eighth visit to Nevada as a presidential candidate and her tenth visit to Nevada since 2018, when she visited the state twice to campaign for Nevada’s Democratic ticket. Kamala recently visited Las Vegas on August 28, when she spoke at the Nevada State AFL-CIO Convention at UNLV and stopped by a local Mexican restaurant for lunch with a Latinx family who later endorsed her candidacy.

SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 26, 2019) – On Saturday, September 28, presidential candidate and former Obama Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Mayor of San Antonio, Texas, Julián Castro, will travel to Austin and San Antonio to participate in the Voto Latino Power Summit, the Supermajority Bus Tour, a Women for Castro Brunch, and the Texas Tribune Festival.
