Team Biden-Harris Concludes March With Most Successful Political Fundraiser in American History
“An Evening with President Biden and Presidents Obama and Clinton” Raises Historic $25 Million
Today, President Biden will join Presidents Clinton and Obama for “An Evening with President Biden and Presidents Obama and Clinton” at Radio City Music Hall for what will be the most successful political fundraiser in American history. More than 5,000 supporters – a sold-out crowd – will be in attendance at tonight’s fundraiser, and thousands more will be watching online.
In total, tonight’s event will raise over $25 million.
The evening will begin with a virtual pre-program for grassroots supporters hosted by Biden-Harris campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez and featuring a conversation with the three presidents. The in-person program will feature a star-studded program hosted by Mindy Kaling and featuring musical guests Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo, and Lea Michele. The evening will be kicked off by First Lady Jill Biden, and culminate with the main event of an armchair conversation with the three presidents, moderated by none other than Late Night’s Stephen Colbert.
“This historic raise is a show of strong enthusiasm for President Biden and Vice President Harris and a testament to the unprecedented fundraising machine we’ve built,” said Biden-Harris 2024 campaign co-chair Jeffrey Katzenberg. “Unlike our opponent, every dollar we’re raising is going to reach the voters who will decide this election — communicating the President's historic record, his vision for the future and laying plain the stakes of this election. The numbers don’t lie: today’s event is a massive show of force and a true reflection of the momentum to reelect the Biden-Harris ticket.”
“An Evening with President Biden and Presidents Obama and Clinton” is just the latest example of Team Biden-Harris’ strong fundraising powering our campaign, including our record-breaking grassroots program:
• In the 24 hours following President Biden’s State of the Union address, Team Biden-Harris raised $10 million – the largest 24-hour haul of the campaign so far.
• The day after Super Tuesday, we raised $1.5 million online alone – one of our top-performing days since launch.
• During the State of the Union, Team Biden-Harris broke one-hour online fundraising records three hours in a row.
• February was Team Biden-Harris’ best grassroots fundraising month since launch – and fourth consecutive record-breaking month.
Meanwhile, Trump is “scrambling” to raise cash as he lags behind President Biden in fundraising. Instead of closing the gap to fund his campaign, he is fundraising to pay his legal bills and relying on donors to finance his bond.
In contrast to Trump’s cash-strapped campaign, tonight alone Team Biden-Harris will raise:
• $5 million more than the Trump campaign raised in all of February.
• Nearly double what the Trump campaign raised in all of January.
• More than what the Trump campaign raised in December and January combined.
• More than double what the RNC has cash on hand – and more than the RNC has raised all year.
• Nearly 60% of what the Trump campaign has cash on hand.
This one night builds on the trend of Team Biden-Harris absolutely lapping the Trump campaign in fundraising. The Trump campaign raised $20 million in February, comically less than half the $53 million Team Biden-Harris raised in February. Today, the Trump campaign has less than $42 million cash on hand, which is less than one-third of the $155 million cash on hand that Team Biden-Harris has.
