Harris-Walz Campaign Releases Latest Ad in Project 2025 Airwaves Blitz, Emphasizing Its Impact on Black Americans
New Ad Focuses on Trump’s Project 2025 Impact on Black Americans
Second Ad in Project 2025 Series and Historic $370 Million in Digital and Television Advertising Reservations Between Labor Day and Election Day
“Kamala Harris Will Stand Up to Trump’s Project 2025”
Today, Team Harris-Walz launched its second ad in its Project 2025 paid media blitz highlighting the dangers of Trump’s extreme agenda. Fueled by the $370 million in paid media that Team Harris-Walz has reserved between Labor Day and Election Day, battleground voters will hear every single day about the existential danger Trump’s Project 2025 agenda poses to American democracy, freedom, and the middle class.
“Backwards” lays out Trump’s extreme plans and the devastating impact they would have on Black Americans: stripping away voting rights protections, eliminating the Department of Education, monitoring women’s pregnancies, banning abortion nationwide, and ripping away health care coverage from millions of Americans.
"Donald Trump’s Project 2025 makes one thing clear to Black America: he doesn’t give a damn about us. His Project 2025 will take our community backwards; ripping away voting rights protections, reproductive freedom, eliminate the Department of Education, and require states to monitor pregnancies,” said Harris-Walz Principal Deputy Campaign Manager Quentin Fulks. “This campaign is going to make Trump defend his indefensible Project 2025 and ensure the key coalitions this campaign needs to win in November know exactly how his extreme agenda will take their communities backwards. In next week’s debate, the dangers of Trump’s Project 2025 agenda will be on full display, but we won’t waste a minute tying Trump to an extreme agenda that is increasingly toxic and unpopular with the voters who will decide this election.”
“Backwards,” is part of Team Harris-Walz’s historic $370 million in digital and television advertising reservations between Labor Day and Election Day, including static ads. Following “Control,” this new spot is targeting Black Americans in battlegrounds markets.
The ad will air during high-viewership sporting events in battleground states including Michigan vs Texas on September 7, Falcons/Steelers in NFL season opener on September 8, Major League Baseball primetime, and more. It will also air during popular daytime television programming that over-indexes on Black Americans including Sherri, The Jennifer Hudson Show, along with The Today Show.
While Vice President Harris is running on a popular agenda to bring this country forward, our campaign will continue to use hundreds of millions in paid media creative to lift up Trump’s extreme and losing agenda.
The new ads come as the Harris-Walz campaign has been running a robust online and on-the-ground effort to cement the choice for battleground voters this November between Vice President Harris’ vision for a new way forward and Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda. The more Americans learn about Trump’s Project 2025 agenda, the more unpopular it gets. Recent polls found that between 70 and 80 percent of Americans had already heard about Project 2025. Even Trump and Republicans concede “Project 2025 is an unmitigated polling disaster.”
NARRATOR: Trump’s Project 2025 Agenda will give him unchecked political power with no guardrails.
And it would take Black America backwards.
Project 2025 would strip away our voting rights protections. And it eliminates the Department of Education.
It would also require states to monitor women’s pregnancies.
It bans abortion and would rip away health coverage for millions.
Kamala Harris will stand up to Trump and his MAGA-loyalists’ dangerous plans to control our lives.
Because Trump is out for himself, while Kamala Harris is for the people.
VICE PRESIDENT HARRIS: I’m Kamala Harris and I approve this message.
