PRESIDENT TRUMP ANNOUNCES KEY WHITE HOUSE OFFICE DIRECTORS
Mar-A-Lago, Florida – Today, President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, announced the Directors of three key White House Offices.
JAMES BRAID will return to the White House as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Legislative Affairs. Braid has served as Vice President-elect JD Vance's lead policy staffer from day one of his term in the U.S. Senate after having been a Chief of Staff to multiple members of Congress, Policy Director of the House Freedom Caucus, and other senior policy roles on Capitol Hill since 2015. He worked in legislative affairs at the Office of Management and Budget during President Trump's first administration. Braid is a native of North Carolina and is an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
MATT BRASSEAUX will serve as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Political Affairs. Brasseaux was a Deputy Political Director for the Trump Campaign and Republican National Committee in 2024, directly managing President Trump's victorious operations in the battleground states of Arizona and Nevada. A proven winner, Brasseaux previously served as a Regional Political Director for the Republican National Committee and as Campaign Manager for now-Governor Joe Lombardo in Nevada. Brasseaux brings over a decade worth of high-level political experience spanning local, state, and national level races.
ALEX LATCHAM will return to the White House as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Public Liaison. Alex Latcham has served President Trump for the last eight years, most recently as a Senior Deputy Political Director to the Trump Campaign and Republican National Committee in 2024. He advised President Trump on political races and endorsements, served as the campaign's liaison to Republican sister committees, and oversaw the first four states on the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary calendar as the Early States Director. Latcham previously served as Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Political Director during the first Trump Administration.
