March 6, 2024 - Today, SFA Fund, Inc.'s Lead Strategist Mark Harris released the following statement after former South Carolina Governor and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley suspended her campaign for President of the United States:

"Running for president is a grueling process where your entire life is scrutinized. Not only did Nikki Haley far exceed expectations, but she made history and gave Republicans a choice through Super Tuesday when most of the field had already quit."

"Nikki was and will continue to be a tremendous conservative voice for our country and the Republican Party, and SFA Fund, Inc. was proud to support her from day one.

"Nikki's message of a Republican Party that supports a strong and free America will not be lost. Her voice rang clear as she championed policies that promoted peace through strength and opposed the world's dictators. She also fought to end the wasteful spending and corruption in Washington when few have the courage to do so.

"Nikki's campaign team was led by Jon Lerner and Betsy Ankney, who did an amazing job, and conservatives should be incredibly grateful to their entire team for everything they've done to get us to this historic point.

"Additionally, I want to thank the entire SFA Fund, Inc. team for their hard work throughout this campaign - particularly Mary Kate Johnson and her finance team, who worked every day to make sure we could continue the fight.

Just over a year ago, I launched my campaign for president.

When I began, I said the campaign was grounded in my love of our country.

Just last week, my mother, a first-generation immigrant, got to vote for her daughter for president.

Only in America.

I am filled with gratitude for the outpouring of support we’ve received from across our great country.

But the time has now come to suspend my campaign.

I said I wanted Americans to have their voices heard.

I have done that.

I have no regrets.

And although I will no longer be a candidate, I will not stop using my voice for the things I believe in.

Our national debt will eventually crush our economy. A smaller federal government is not only necessary for our freedom; it is necessary for our survival. The road to socialism is the road to ruin for America.

Our Congress is dysfunctional and only getting worse. It is filled with followers, not leaders. Term limits for Washington politicians are needed now more than ever.

Our world is on fire because of America’s retreat. Standing by our allies in Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan is a moral imperative. But it’s also more than that. If we retreat further, there will be more war, not less.

As important, while we stand strong for the cause of freedom, we must bind together as Americans. We must turn away from the darkness of hatred and division.

I will continue to promote all those values, as is the right of every American.

I sought the honor of being your president; but in our great country, being a private citizen is privilege enough in itself. And that’s a privilege I very much look forward to enjoying.

In all likelihood, Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee when our party convention meets in July. I congratulate him and wish him well. I wish anyone well who would be America’s president. Our country is too precious to let our differences divide us.

I have always been a conservative Republican and always supported the Republican nominee.

But on this question, as she did on so many others, Margaret Thatcher provided some good advice when she said, “Never just follow the crowd. Always make up your own mind.”

It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the votes of those in our party and beyond it who did not support him, and I hope he does that. At its best, politics is about bringing people into your cause, not turning them away. And our conservative cause badly needs more people. This is now his time for choosing.

I end my campaign with the same words I began it from the Book of Joshua. I direct them to all Americans, but especially to so many of the women and girls out there who put their faith in our campaign.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For God will be with you wherever you go.

In this campaign, I have seen our country’s greatness. From the bottom of my heart – thank you America.

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Alaska U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski endorsed Nikki Haley for president ahead of Alaska’s Super Tuesday caucus on March 5, 2024.

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Nikki Haley raised $12 million in February from all three of her campaign committees, with the majority of contributions coming from grassroots supporters.
Haley’s $12 million comes after raising $16.5 million in January, which was her single best fundraising month of the campaign. The $8.5 million in grassroots donations is a testimony to Haley’s support among hardworking Americans who are tired of Donald Trump’s chaos and division.

“Joe Biden is losing about 20 percent of the Democratic vote today, and many say it’s a sign of his weakness in November. Donald Trump is losing about 35 percent of the vote. That’s a flashing warning sign for Trump in November. Since Trump became president in 2016, he lost Michigan Republicans the state House, state Senate, and Governor’s mansion. What was once a beacon for the conservative cause, the Michigan Republican Party is now fractured and divided.

“Let this serve as another warning sign that what has happened in Michigan will continue to play out across the country. So long as Donald Trump is at the top of the ticket, Republicans will keep losing to the socialist left. Our children deserve better.”
